Follow along as I solo travel all up and through China on the hunt for clarity about the human hair industry. From Shanghai to Qingdao, to Yiwu you get to see me walk, bus, and budget travel while meeting with hair factory owners and locals that are shocked to see a black girl solo traveling in China.

I launched my first hair company in 2012 and ever since I have been obsessed with learning this industry so that I can figure out how we as black women can start earning what we deserve in this industry that our dollars have built.
This is my second solo trip to China. I had to hit up multiple cities because there are so many lies floating around. Some suppliers will lie and tell you that they are in a factory and have you fly to Guangzhou just to find out that they are simply in a sales office of with a warehouse of trash hair. Yes, I've been through it all from scams to shady hair vendors but through it all, I learned enough to build the Lady Leader Library that helps women prevent mistakes while building their virgin hair company.

Thank you...as someone who lives in Asia people don't truly understand world travel and you did a great job! I love the Beyonce mention as well...you don't have to be known world wide to be great. Beyonce is one of the biggest artist in American with one of least International followers. More people know Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, & Cardi than Beyonce yet her bag will always trump their bag, excluding Rihanna, because she moves different and invests money different.

AMAZING BOSS B! moves so proud of you. ppl say so much bad stuff about china products its cheap, they use harsh products but I find their the most husslers in selling your items and making them customized. I was on the fence about ordering stuff. This video was amazing expecially when u went to the IDK where area for hair. thats dedication

@@corderobarrett7554 the best vendor is subjective and really depends on what type of product your target market. If you are looking for highest quality you may want to look toward India but there's pros and cons. Sometimes Indian hair is more challenging to sell because of the price. When I head back to China in October I'm offering to source vendors for other companies. There is a fee attached but it's an option. You are also more than welcome to book a consultation at ladyleader.as.me as well.

Hi, how long do you recommend staying in one city? Are 2 full days per a city long enough?

It depends on a few things such as which city, exactly what you plan to do in the city, what type of supplier you’ll be meeting with and if there is any additional transportation requirements while in the city. Ie. It may take over an hour to get from one place to another. I recommend staying in China a min of 9 days.
