Self filming is difficult, and I think I almost forgot just how much work it was. This is the first time I’ve done just that in quite a while. The weather forecast was looking too good not to head north for a few days, and I had a serious craving for the serenity of camping in the hard woods of Potter County, PA. There’s something seriously real about the “feeling” you get up there, everyone and anyone who’s spent any time wandering around northern PA will tell you it’s a special place. We have a film coming out soon about the trip we did last year ( which I have taken way too long getting done, but that’s a story for another time).
I know this was a long one, but I wanted to share the story of the second day and not catching any fish but still enjoying the time on the water in a beautiful place. From an editing standpoint, you either cut it out all together or condense it as much as you can. I did the latter, and I’m working on my skills as an editor at condensing hours of footage into an entertaining and cohesive film. I’m considering doing voice overs to move the story forward better in future videos, but I don’t know. We’ll see. Okay that’s all. If you’re still reading this, I appreciate you.
