Coastal scenery spectacular - My wife loved dress

Sometimes you just want to do a couple of nights of car camping -- no back-country camping. It's nice to have the facilities, as frugal as they may be. No need to hang a bear bag or dig a hole. Plus, you have the car right there for storage, so you can bring real food and things like coffee presses, etc. BTW -- I really like how real and genuine you are with us, Izzy. Nothing is more cool than honesty and nothing is more fun than being yourself. If we could ever all meet you (as frightening as that sounds), you would have 59,000 friends. You would never buy another beer again for the rest of your life.

Awesome childhood memories 😊. This trip reminded me of some solo camping I did years ago. I hiked a couple of miles into the woods and set my tent near a stream. I remember exactly the things you've been talking about, like how long it takes to get things done but in a good way. I didn't bring a stove, so prepping fires took a chunk of time. The best thing though is that I brought an inflatable kiddie pool with me so I could heat water over the fire and take the best bath ever next to the cold River. Thanks for reminding me! ❤ Lauren

Izzy,well done on your own. It brought back memories of our family Camping Holidays there in the mid to late 90’s,we stayed at the Boswinger Campsite (7 out of 10years) with our young pre teen sons who did the gate duties. We loved the ‘back road’ to Gorren Haven that you used the Views of Vault Beach were always stunning. PS in our day Vault beach was the ‘unofficial’ local Nudist Beach so perhaps it was just as well it was deserted! Glad you enjoyed the experience.

A lot better than trying to sleep in the car this time 😂 I can't wait to get back to England and go on some old fashioned adventures 🎉

I love Cornwaii, as do most of my family. I will be travelling down to Mullion for a week this coming weekend, although it is with a heavy heart as my wonderful wife of 45 years passed away earlier this year. We spent many holidays in Cornwall.

Dont know if you've ever been but the Copper Mines in Coniston are absolutely beautiful. Waterfalls, caves and spots to take a dunk in the water. You'd love it and the scenery is incredible 👍

Nice one Izzie. Well done. I particularly pricked up my ears when you mentioned the 10 tors event. I remember some of my classmates doing that way back in the 60s. I was so jealous of them, but my parents were cautious, and wouldn't let me go. However, I still like to go camping, although not so luxurious as you. I have a similar size tent as you, but travel by motorbike. Also, no air mattress, just a thin exercise mat. You are right. There is something special about solo camping, and enjoying nature.

Yes I agree- I’ve always ‘wild camped’ in my micro camper but on the odd occasion when I go on a site for a shower etc, it is different - relaxing but in a different way.

Hey Iz, well that was a most enjoyable tag along with you on your solo camping trip. I’m A long distance walker, a ‘lone’ long distance walker. I love my solo treks in nature and the further off the beaten track I venture, is the most enjoyable and rejuvenating time for me. Weather never bothers me and I return home after many a 7 hour trek on foot a new person. My mind and my body feels the renewed and I cannot wait to get back on my feet and head off again. Been outside and alone in the great outdoors is a special privilege and like you Iz, I too am lucky to live where I live. So go on and enjoy your solo adventures in nature. I laughed when I saw that toaster! I used to do a lot of motorbike camping and have had my tent since 1982. You can take more stuff in a car and I would take a caravan toilet if going wild camping as sometimes that is enough to make it legal.

What an awesome video Iz. I have been following your and Tom’s ‘Lost In Transit' channel for a while. Your camera work and editing is very good, you should be proud, the review you gave of the Bluetti power bank was also on topic, not too techy or salesy, just an honest, in use opinion. The journey to the beach was also great, travelling a not well-used road, with fantastic views. I think I counted two people at the beach, so a great secluded spot to have a dip. Try a good flask in future, this may ease load on the battery, and more importantly, enable tea on the go 🙂.

Your tent looks very similar to my MSR and as you have the foot base you probabaly can set up the outer first and then crawl inside to clip the inner... thats how my one works and it loooks identical.. : ) happy camping

Enjoyable jaunt, sometimes it's good to strip things down to a car and a tent and the next few meals from a kettle. Remember your and Tom's best friend... factor 30 (or higher), especially around the face, backs of your hands and just below your neck at the front, you'll thank me in 20 years.

well that Renault Clio just keeps on trucking wen i saw that orange foam in the coolant i thought Yikes.. as thats what happened to my Clio but i had done by then around 140,000 miles and the engine said Nah thats it im done

surly a travel kettle would be better ... only you there .
