Food was great but definitely added weight to the pack that I could have done without on Day 2 🙈 The Helm did so much better than I expected, great wee tent but my furry friend has been dispatched back to Amazon! 🤣

Niall, haven't been up Benbradagh and Donald's Hill in many a year so it was good to be reacquainted with them. Lots of local opposition to more proposed windfarms in the area. Looked like pretty good walking underfoot, loved that wee stream and the footbridge👍 A lovely first day and you had the views alright from the top of Donald's Hill. It has been very challenging to get a couple of decent days of weather together for what seems forever! Always good to get out and undertake these adventures, even if they don't always go according to plan👍

It's a lovely area Gerry. Lots of wind farms up there already so I can see whey they don't want many more. Hoping for the start to the good weather this weekend 🤞

Well mate. Pity but the main thing is you got out. Finishing is a bonus man and look at it as a challenge to you to do it again. The compact 1 is some tent. Good choice cutting it short. Always the hard decision but that comes with experience so well done. Enjoyed the adventure. 😊

I look forward to seeing this route over 4 days in better weather mate! Those pitches are great if the weather plays ball haha. I've had a couple of nights where my tent has beaten me up. Dinner looked spot on btw.

Dinner was lush! I was starving by the time I got to eat it 🤣 New plans for the end of May for a shortened version of a later section, stay tuned 👌

Hi Niall good to see you again must be almost a year since the mourne weekend hard to believe. Was up on Benbradagh myself in Feb and around the US military site still snowy then. Great video nice skillet look forward to your next adventure. Take care.
