Agreed, it's difficult for newer players to start and it is challenging to improve in albion I'm not sure if i will post frequent commentary style videos at the moment, might do more in the future I play almost exclusively spear with builds that i beleave to be the most efficent, hopefully this will give you some insight!

Do you ever swap to inferno shield and if you do, against what matchup?

Honestly i should swap to inferno shield more then i do. It is really strong for fights and provides good combat stats for 8 sec. In most fights people will have channel or buff based abilities, i like to use my core spells into ambush to wait my cooldowns and waste thier buffs (ideally use ambush aswell when they still have not used thier core spells). A lot of matchups have consistant damage and predictable damage, here inferno shield will be stronger. Matchups such as curse, swords and more. Also strong vs mage cowl/cultist cowl. I say this but don't really apply this myself in the video but hopefully this gives you some insight in my though process.

@@THATGUY-yf5rp In general I would recommend using roasted puremist snapper, it's the best food for spear in my opinion, a budget option would be beef sandwich, both those foods will be increased with HP since they are % based, if you are high tier (8.1 +) i would recommend using the taproot instead of the torch. Keep in mind the healing from healing potion will also increase with max HP. If you are using mage cowl damage food would be a strong option, beef stew or deadwater eel stew will be good. I would stay away from omelettes, spears are wasting the cast time part of that food and cooldown reduction is bad for combat stats, it's more for kite oriented builds and i think HP will be superior anyway for such builds. If you are ganking however cooldown reduction is very good for catch + chase. If you are using shoes/jacket/hood i would recommend using cooldown reduction passives (quick thinker) with deadwater eel stew, mistcaller + caerleon cape

really useful, definitely helped me get better with 1h spear. One question I have is: what is the reason you use torch and not mistcaller?

Thank you! I prefer the torch, it's cheaper and is better for lower IP builds because it's a non artifact weapon. The torch offers attack speed which is really good for stat checking (Melee range trading for extended period). Having a stronger stat check and DPS will create a bigger threat to opponents (especially ranged). Mistcaller will be better for a kite oriented playstyle than the torch but i would prefer the taproot for this playstyle instead anyway. Hope this was helpfull.

Hello, hunter hood is probably better now after the buff, you can argue to use mage cowl/fiend cowl aswell as better options. It's just a personal preference. I like the defensive utility it provides to block core damage./spells. It is also good vs curse and to make it easier to escape

Hello! I prefer to use cripple in general it's better for kite/spacing and will be stronger than impaler for preventing escapes and making it easier to reset bad fights. I made a spear guide where i explaining this in better detail.
