Hi Barbara, this was in mid May, so there was a bit of water around. I'd actually done the Hyden to Mt Holland leg two weeks earlier on another trip and there was wayyyy more water this time around.

Thanks Barbara, yes it's a great way to spend a few days. I got the map from the Broomehill Shire Office, but it was of limited value. Still, it helped me to know I was roughly going the right way. I also recently posted the second video in this series if you haven't seen it yet. That one is the section of the track between Hyden-Norseman Road and Mt Holland, things are starting to get tricky. The final section will also be up on KZfaq soon which was the hardest section. Awesome ride.

Sure mate. It's an RMZ copy. You can get them from Adventure Bike Australia. Needs a little fiddling to them to fit but it's not a challenge. HEAPS better than the stock wobbly old thing. Especially with a tool bag on. No longer scraping on the front tyre in the rough stuff.

Cheers Brett, the DR650 loaded with camping gear used a touch over 20 litres of fuel over the 320odd ks between Hyden and Coolgardie. That was without any detours and getting lost on the way.
