One epic and scenic motocamping adventure from Cerro Gordo Ghost Town to the beautiful little town of Lone Pine CA . I spend the night alone with a new motocamping set up and enjoy the peace and quiet by small stream .

I used to pack mules for Rock Creek Pack Station in those mountains. But I hung up my saddle & bought a EXC. Gonna start enjoying the owens valley myself. Good video man.

Nice! I always enjoy your moto camping videos, it makes me wanna get out but the cascades are pretty snowed in right now.... Looks like a nice spot though. It's getting harder to find a quiet spot these days so I don't blame ya for not sharing. Like I always tell people; Get out and find your own spots, you will have a way more memorable adventure. That's why I started riding, just lookin for a little solitude.

Merry Christmas Dustin, Some of these older videos crack me up my wife gets pissed at me she ask why do I keep laughing. Watching you drag that tree across the fire when you had a couple of drinks priceless. Also watched the one with you and your Dad riding when you scream when you crash almost as hilarious as when you video tape that guy on TDub and you said I’ll get him on film if he crashes and then he flips over handlebars all fun as long as no one gets hurt

@8:10 I used to stay at that motel every year. I started taking a picture each year, in the same spot in the lot, to see how I / we changed over time. I love it up there. I lost track of all the East-side of the Sierras I have backpacked.

Your videos are really getting better and better with each one. I have a love affair with the Sierra mountains and spent a lot of time backpacking on the trails there this summer. Now that I have a new dual sport motorcycle really want to get up there and explore and camp. That area you are at is about 2.5 hours north of me. Anyway, I'm a retired Marine and never ate crayons because I think that's a thing mostly male Marines do. Heard you mention that on your livestream! Stay away from Mountain House meals. Try Peak Refuel meals they are much better but a little more expensive. Wishing you continued luck on your channel.

Thanks for watching Devil Dog . That's awesome you finally got a bike . There is so many areas to explore on the bike in my area and Lone Pine . I been meaning to try those Peak Refuel's . The price of mountain houses over the years have gone up and I feel like the portions are smaller . I am definitely going Motocamping this weekend for sure .

There are some epic creek singletrack backside and south of Toulumne Meadows I think it was called twin lakes??? Outside of Bridgeport anyways.. Has grassland meadows with natural creeks loaded with German Browns and wild Brookies!!! Also has a hot springs surrounded by the Eastern side of Sierra. It’s like Yosemite with no humans 😅.

I rode from Ridgecrest CA to San Diego and back the next day. It was 5 hours each way on highway and interstate. It did well but the being on the bike that long on that seat isn't fun

First time visiting your channel. I'm digging it bro, great work. Beautiful out there. What's the setup on your bike without side bags - just tent, bedroll, duffle on a rack with a backpack in front?
@dualdorks2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. Basically everything you mentioned and what is in the video is what I got only . I do need to get side racks and soft bags again

Thanks for sharing this video. I just sold my 2020 africa twin 600+ pounds and got a klx 300. The Africa Twin was dangerously heavy and not fun at all off road on rugged or muddy terrain. How is this bike with power when fully loaded ?
@dualdorks Жыл бұрын
You can definitely feel the weight for sure but it's manageable. Not to bad on the road either as long as you are cruising

Do you limit your trips to 100 miles? If not, how do you carry extra fuel?
@dualdorks Жыл бұрын
I usually plan it out in advance where there will be a fuel stop but two rides I did I had to carry gas or else I would have been stranded.

Anyone know what tent this is? Looks pretty slick. Compact and fast to setup.
@DevDog6710 ай бұрын
@@dualdorkswow that was fast! Thanks! Does it keep the rain out pretty good?
@dualdorks10 ай бұрын
@DevDog67 I used it for years and had no issues with it. I did wear it out after 4 years of heavy use and ended up tossing it this spring but for the price it's pretty good. If you are camping in colder climates I'd definitely recommend getting something different though
