Solo NO DRAMA winter camping in the Lake District.

I hiked up to Catbells in almost Spring like conditions before retracing my steps and bumbling up to Maiden Moor where I pitched up for the night.
The following morning I went up to a snowy High Spy before dropping down to Borrowdale via Tongue Gill and the old quarries, ending off with a pint. Bliss!

Thanks. Yeah I’m quite pleased with it, though there were still a lot of mistakes that needed to be edited out. I’ve still hardly used the drone so figuring out still what does and doesn’t work and I’ve just bought another battery so that should help me to get extra practice in.

Nice effort and camp. YHA Borrowdale is open from 7.30am for walk ins breakfast until 9.30am. And full bar, coffee and food all day last food order 8pm. It's on the Coast to coast route. All welcome.

They change for winter, so no food between 9:30 and 5pm and the bar wasn’t open for any sort of drinks either. Not sure when they re open for lunch, must be soonish.

@@boolay75 Ah OK. I stayed there 24 to 26 Jan. Didn't notice any changes but we'd been relocated from a flooded Ambleside and self catered. Keep up the wild camping. Hope to do some with me new Grampian 2 (4.2kg but what's a few kg between friends!)

Awesome vid mate - stunning views, exactly like I got up there but mine was in spring/summer. What light is that you had in the tent? Looks really bright but small and compact 🤷‍♂️

Thanks mate. Can’t remember the exact model but it’s a Rovyvon. Think it was about 30 pounds. I take it as back up for my headtorch but as you can see works well as a lantern also amzn.eu/d/f61zq0u
