🇷🇺The Trans-Siberian train, who hasn't dreamt of taking it across this leviathan of a country? Well not me to be honest but somehow I decided to override my dread of endless train rides to show you what nobody has shown you before. The real Trans-Siberian. This isn't a package tour, nothing is booked in advance. It's just me on my own hopping from town to town on whichever train is leaving next, meeting locals, drinking vodka, avoiding snorers, exploring Russia. Join me!

Yeah, that was something lol To be honest it's kind of refreshing because these are edited videos. For all the talk about how such and such place is full of the nicest people ever...that's not always true. People are people. He having a camera certainly helps keep interactions polite and, frankly, help keep him a bit more safe than he'd be otherwise. Anyway, it's refreshing to see the occasional person just not in the mood to be filmed, outright dislike him and/or mistake his intentions/words. He has certainly had some not-so-pleasant interactions because he's on planet Earth. I like seeing them, tbh. It shows that the videos aren't totally curated BS.

Btw I am pretty sure she didn't mean it. She doesn't know what “F-ing hell” means and for her it sounded like “F- you”, pretty much one of few phrases she knows in English. So she just repeated it once she heard something familiar. P.S. Kolya's reaction to that “F-ing hell” phrase of Bald demonstrates the same: Kolya asks Bald "Did you just swear at me?"

Acctially Perm is named after the word Parma, wich in a native people's language means "The far lands".The city was founded by Peter the Great in 1723. In 1940's the city was renamed in Molotov for the sake of the Soviet Secretary. But after Stalin's death it was again named Perm. It is one of the largest city in Russia. More than 1 million people live here.Perm - 2 is the city's railway station, and Perm -1 is the river station. Also we have the museam of modern art wich is named Perm - M but the letter M is like sitting on its back and it's kinda simular to 3, so this museam is Perm-3.The source: Perm is my home town :D

For people like me living just north of Milan (Italy), where you have a continuity of towns (like every 3/4km you are in the center of the nearby 15000-30000-50000 people town), places like your city leave me kind of speechless. There's so much "nothing" around there just outside of the city itself... I can go out with the car and friends on a Saturday evening and go to Milan, Varese, Gallarate, Busto Arsizio etc, all of these big centers (and a myriad of small ones) are less than 30km around me. But there? I think I'd feel like if I was in a desert, in a way :)

And we stopped in a middle of nowhere for a a switch of a main part (since they are electric ones)! And he took me to a driver and I friking drove a Trans, which is not allowed by a law, but, hey, how many times do you get a chance to got on a Trans Siberian train, and that to get a chance to drive one! Have a video of it! And when we got back we became an instant celebrity on a train, because no one could believe we did it! I actually believed that line about the '70's hair style. The name Perm is of Uralic etymology (Komi-Permyak: Перем, Perem; Komi: Перым, Perym). Komi is a member of the Permic branch of the Uralic languages, which is also named for Perm. In Finnish and Vepsian perämaa means "far-away land"; similarly, in Hungarian perem means "edge" or "verge". The geologic period of the Permian takes its name from the toponym.

My anxiety skyrockets when he wanders the random towns-I'm always worried he goes back to see his train chugging away in the distance.

Shit happens some times. Usually there are a couple of reckless taxi drivers waiting by the station, so they could ride you to the next station to catch your train and charge you 5x.

@@anotheranon3118 yes, for the most part approachable and open but in terms of being interesting is becoming less. Like I get this isn't Russia but it would take you awhile to find someone as enthusiastic and lively here in the states unless their on something or is genuinely just a fun person
