Join me on my first overland truck camping trip in the Jeep Gladiator as I have unexpected encounters with hunters testing their shotgun, and a pack of coyotes howling close by in the middle of the night. I cook a tasty steak meal, set up my cot under the stars, and experience the thrill of meeting some new friends. Great camping trip. I do believe that I would have put my cot next to the vehicle as opposed to the open area. Just my thoughts. Also, I highly recommend that you invest in a portable propane campfire. I have two of them and they are just perfect for camping. The fire is not hot enough to burn what's beneath it on the ground and it does pop and send sparks off like a wood fire. And you don't smell like smoke for a week when you go back home. Oh and when it is time to go to sleep your turn the knob to off and you don't have to worry about the fire all night. I also think that if I got an orange Jeep I would put an 01 on the doors... But I'm just crazy like that... All the best, Pat

Thanks for sharing some tips. I’d love to put an 01 on it, but don’t want to have issues with copyright styling. If that’s even a thing. I just got a small campfire stove that I’ll put to use soon, but definitely not as efficient as a gas camp stove. It would have come in handy Saturday night at 29F.

Great video! I just bought my Gladiator last year and went solo camping for two nights in August. It was the first time I had been camping in 30+ years and I loved it and can't wait to do it again this year!

Same Hooke Road rail on my Gladiator. I fit a Ridgeline truck bed tent over it easily.

23:42 those coyotes definitely can be annoying in the middle night when you’re camping, it startles you and you don’t wanna become a burrito and that sleeping bag. Stay safe least it’s not a bear but I’m sure a pack of coyotes might not be fun.
