I can't believe those bastards flagged your video, thank goodness I am on your email list, maybe go to other platforms. My words just words get blocked in the comments. Your channel has been a great help because I like so many are domesticated and we have very little to no survival skills. I've now been training at this stuff for a few years now. Cleaning and gathering drinking water is one of the most important aspects to all this. My heart breaks with all that is going on. In Ohio in 2020 during my no lockdown, no mask, no social distancing tour gas was $1.88. Just yesterday in a state near Ohio I paid $4.19. This is all by design.

@@HynoDesignsvIII I've been having the same issue with music from live, public events on KZfaq a wicked lot! Example, yesterday 3/5, some friends of mine played out in Greenfield MA. & I wanted to make KZfaq vids like I normally would & have in the past I made an intro & no prob with that, but the 1st "live song" I videod automatically picked up a copyright flag! What stinks is I know some of the folks in the bands I may try & video & they're ok with folks doing vids, it's just KZfaq isn't! KZfaq however violates their own policies in so many different ways it's not even remotely funny & I made some videos to prove this on my channel. I since created an ODYSEE channel the other day & it is a bit to work with but, can be done, it's just anything I make a normal phone cam video of I have to re do via Mobizen or something so it can upload to ODYSEE without an issue, so, got to do sort of a "double vid" just to make a single vid work. Is it aggravating? Hell yes, but, if I want much better content than me messing around with phone app games which's what my channel wasn't originally going to be but became that way once the "kookamonga bug" screwed up a bunch of music venues that I'd work at or music venues I'd sponsor, that's where things went for a bit over 2 years. I've argued with KZfaq to no avail, even by "snail mail" & written "permission" styled things from the folks I would make videos of to share. If I had serious cash, I'd love to take the A holes to court for discrimination & whatever else I could get them for, including the fact of them being as hypocritical as they are with their own policies which, again, can be easily proven.

KZfaq suspended Mr. Salty for asking about wether or not Pooty had taken out 8 bio labs in Ukraine after the US-Ukraine embassy removed info from their website regarding the matter. You can't talk about it or ask questions on KZfaq. You MUST listen to the overlords of MSM or else. 🤣

I really like these "store challenges," because they demonstrate that a person can survive in an emergency situation with very little money. I was wondering if you would ever do a challenge with "store brand" equipment, which is usually the cheapest of the cheap stuff.

I don't care if it's cheap. My thoughts on any sort of 'survival gear' is simple, did it work and get the job done. If the answer is yes, who cares where it came from. I've never understood the dislike and outright hatred that some people have had towards Harbor Freight. This was another great video. Sorry to hear about what happen to last weeks one. You stand for the truth. Reality. Logic of what's going on. Don't ever sway from that it's one of the reasons I follow you so much. What an interesting coincidence! Last night & this morning I made a list o Harbor Freightf items which I could use in an emergency overnighter. At one time, Harbor Freight had decent wool-blend blankets for @$10-12 each, but they no longer stock them. I caught the canvas/leathere bottom bucket on sale for under $10. They also have treated canvas tarps at reasonable prices; & Cotton canvas painter's drop cloths which can be used for shelter or cowboy bedroll with the mover's quilt of wool blanket. Other useful items include a variety of natural cordage/ropes; scissors; sewing awl; punch awl; whistle; optics; work gloves; welder's flint torch lighters; & a waterproof poly bonded 4 ft x 12 ft protective runner when painting. Thse make excellent ground cloths! This particular video is ONE OF YOUR BEST & long-awaited by me. I especially liked the roll-up canopy across the front of the shelter. THANKS! P.S Their sectional fatigue mat (which fits together like a jigsaw puzzle) makes a sleep pad & insulates from the cold ground. GREAT VIDEO!

I saw and enjoyed last weeks video. In fact I made my first Dakota pit shortly before I watched it. This video was great too. I really like this concept actually, I find it interesting to see what can be done with a budget shopping spree at various stores. Personally I probably would've taken the Buck 119 ripoff over the Rambo knife even tho I dislike cheap ripoffs. The tent stake tinder is a cool idea. I saw Andrew do it a week or so ago, he burned the whole stake actually. I'm subscribed to him and Dave already, the 3 of you are great teachers. Food for thought, I saw Survival Lily scrape a bic lighter and use the shavings from it that the same way. Thank you as always Shawn, God bless you brother.

I think the idea of having a kit (tote in your truck, etc.) for the just-in-case-I-get-stranded moment that is based on a) a budget like this and b) it must all fit into a certain size/container is a good way to go.

I must say your videos are second to none. Educational and professional. And together with your many uses of bacon Outstanding.

You gotta be one of if not the cleanest and most precise content creater when it comes to survival brother. 10 out of 10 again. The small detains (not as much in this particular video) but in most of your videos are what really give your videos the extra umph. Keep it up bud.... we will definitely be here to enjoy it

That was fun, my buddy Johnny Thunder turned me on to this idea as a survivalist thought exercise. Drugstores are fun to do if you have to wait for medication. Loved the can pinch with two sticks. Keep ‘em coming!

Very cool ideas. Suggestion: I carry a file and use it to also grind the magnesium block fast for a good pile of metal. Do the same on wood and mix the metal and wood dust for an awesome tinder pile.

So I am rewatching this video, and I realized something. 1980's movie, The Band of the Hand with Stephen Lang and Lawrence "Larry" Fishburne. They take Miami kids and drop them off in the Everglades and Stephen Lang is their survival instructor. This is the knife he uses! 😁😂
