That was an amazing little build, looking forward to you revisiting that concept later. I was a little disappointed at first, last week, spent twenty minutes scouring for a missed overnighter, but am thankful for the vid you put together considering the circumstances. It makes me wish that I either had been given more time with my father or that I had children, so do keep doing more things with medium sized dude, and pardon me for living vicariously thru the two of you.

Question Corporal, would heating those long pieces of wood maybe make them more flexible, then if they are shaped, when they cool are more apt to maintain that shape? Have seen that used in boat building, just wondered if it was any sort of option.

I bet they dont like it because they cant follow what he does and come close to the vision and the hard work involved for these projects. I have never watched a Corporals Corner and did not learn something or take away an idea to use for my own skills. PS welcome back Dude!

I've seen some people criticize cutting live trees. Some bushcraft videos only use standing dead, and many people prefer that due to conservation. To be fair thats much harder for videos and crafting, and this is probably his land anyways, just playing devils advocate

Not sure if you read comments on older videos but I very sincerely want to thank you for not politicizing your channel in light of recent events and keeping Corporals Corner...well Corporals Corner. When I watch your videos not only do I learn but your videos are wholesome and as dumb as it may sound (to me) they're a form of stress relief. A 'comfort activity' if you will. Great video again! You should start looking for pawpaw fruit since there are so many trees in your forest, it should be getting close. If you haven't had it before, wait until the fruit looks like an over ripe and bruised banana, peel it, and enjoy! The big seeds are kind of bitter, but the fruit around them is good. It's kind of an acquired taste, but I've acquired it...lol. Love the shelter too!

My 2 cents, skills videos are important. keep doing them if you can. i can only speak for myself, but repetition is the way we learn. How many people have said that they have survived an experiance because they watched a survival programme? This knowledge could save your life one day. as an ex british soldier, i think you are doing a fine job. you will always get a thumbs up from me.

I follow Joe Robinet to Corporal Corner and many in between, that little paw paw tree frame hut was the best short term shelter I have ever seen, all natural materials and lots of room and solid structure. I know an area near me that has similar thin tall trees like the Paw Paw. The next boy scout camp out I will recommend this area and I will build a shelter just like that
