Solo wild camping in Snowdonia | Penmaenmawr Druids stone Circle & Sea views | Nordisk Svalbard tent

Starting the video on Penmaenmawr beach in North Wales , I then walked up into the foothills of Snowdonia in search of Ancient stone Circles.
The area is full of ancient stone Circles, burial grounds and ancient ruins dating back thousands of years.
It was a nice hike up into the hills above Penmaenmawr with beautiful sea views down to puffin island , Anglesey and the Great orme Llandudno.
I pitched my tent close to Penmaenmawr stone circle with views of Tal y Fan and the Carneddau mountain range and stunning sea views.
definitely one of the best wild camping pitches I've had so far.
even though the Penmaenmawr stone circle is often called the druids stone circle , it pre dates the druids and is much older , dating back thousands of years.
In the morning I hiked down from the hills and onto conwy mountain, a really nice hike with stunning sea views and scenery the whole time.
I finished the video at the medieval Conwy castle.

👍 #24 Good evening Gaz, the opening scenes remind me of Rossall Beach, Lancashire. impressive turret-type pillars. I bet you were glad for some cloud on your steep climb up. Big soup is a great idea for an easy meal, though I know you often cook up some tasty treats. Stone circles and a lovely sunset to boot, how nice. I'm super impressed with the tent as I am sure you are too, as you have used it a few times now. the views were spectacular and I'm so pleased you got very nice weather conditions. Lovely lovely time out Gaz I gotta say. I wanted to be there mate. At least I could feel it. You put it across well. This was chi mountain in effect what with the stone circle and splendid conditions. Good to see the Nordisk out again. Wow, see to the front mountains to the rear. You'll be back there. Hi Gaz, playing catch-up, been of wandering again. Brilliant film including some of my favourites, and I thought only me and the sheep knew where the stone circle was, (ha). Not done the Jubilee path round Foel Lus for ages. Here's an idea... why don't you move to North Wales? Think of all the travel costs you would save, and you could spend more time in your favourite places! Oh, and you should learn a bit of Welsh to keep the natives happy(lol). Cheers, Mike

What a gorgeous part of the world, I love the coast, great views, despite the steep climb and that stone circle was brilliant. You got canny weather mind and a fantastic sunset, what a place to camp! That was a narrow path the next morning but loved the views, remained me of the lakes. Great walk back to Conway and the castle, great place to end a canny couple of days away, cheers Alan

Mate, there was so much to see on this trip I can't remember it all!! Wow! Such an amazing place, perfect wild camp spot too with those views, I enjoyed the walk back over the mountain too, again what stunning views, that old quarry has some excellent flat ground 👍 perfect for another camp. Great viddy Gaz, you know your stuff on this area, did you check out the campsite below, be a good one for a car camp with your children... Lee

Thanks mate , the only thing i heard in the night were the wild ponies, they got a bit close to the tent at times , it was a really peaceful place , I didn't find it eerie but definitely had an atmosphere about the place , I'll be back again at some point, cheers mate 👍 ATB

Hi mate, I think it's about an hour or just over an hour if you walked straight to it without stopping , it's not that far really, it's a nice walk up to it too with really nice views , definitely worth visiting, cheers, atb

Hi mate , I've done about 5 or 6 wild camps in it , it's a solid little tent , good in strong winds, very well made tent , still got it , will be using it again soon hopefully, atb 👍
