The snow is beginning to pile up deep up in the mountains. Let's get out the dutch ovens and do some camp cooking as the snow falls down in a good ol' winter storm up in the North Cascade Mountain Range.

Many of you are curious about my background in filmmaking. Along with my business partner Eldad, I own and operate www.mn8films.com. We have traveled to many parts of the world filming and producing marketing content for companies such as Triumph Motorcycles, Harley Davidson Motorcycles, Indian Motorcycle and Monster Energy. We are also in the middle of finishing our own feature length documentary about the fastest motorcycles in the world. Check the trailer out: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pcikepeXmJPHaJ8.html Thanks for watching!

I'm watching another amazing video, and you are talking about how good camp fire cooking is, if you ever get a wild hair, I live in Arkansas, and my dad, hands down, can show you campfire and cast iron cooking that will literally blow your socks off!! As an Eagle Scout and growing up with my dad and HIS Westfalia, I have memories on memories of camping and cooking and eating. Maybe a series of some sort. Love the Videos! Jealous as hell!! Be Safe, peace.

*** DRONE SHOTS **** Hopefully this will help clear up some confusion. :-) I DO NOT HAVE A TEAM OF CAMERA PEOPLE FILMING ME. Here is a BRIEF explanation of how these drone shots are achieved. YES... every single one of these shots is all shot by myself, and only myself.... My DJI Mavic Air is actually GPS guided as most all drones are these days. I drive to a safe spot that I would like to capture. I launch the drone and fly it into position. Because it is GPS guided, the drone holds its elevation and position without me touching the controller. I set the controller down on the passenger seat. Then I drive the van through the scene. Once I have captured the shot I wanted, I fly drone to my new position in a safe parking spot and land the drone. Notice that any drone shot that has the van driving in the shot has very little to no movement? That is because the drone is set and I drive past it while it holds its own position. If you see a shot where it is tracking the van in a shot, the drone has been set to "active track" where it is set to follow a moving subject. I can also set the drone to follow a specific flight path. It is all very simple folks. No need to fret... It is all filmed by myself and I DO NOT have a team of camera people following me. I just needed to clear that up for everyone. Thanks for watching!!!

Btw the “Alone in the Wilderness” silent treatment was a nice touch. Prefer you talking but once in a while the Dick Proeneke style would be cool to do. It really gives the viewers a sense of the peaceful atmosphere

I travel solo frequently and find pleasure in stopping to brew my own coffee instead of swinging by Starbucks. First time with Dutch ovens too. I was impressed. Definitely looked like an enjoyable experience. Also I've got to believe that it takes longer to prep a meal on video than it does to just prep a meal.

I think after a while, you get it down to a system. I’m sure he gets out there, sets up a bunch of go pros in good spots, let’s them record non stop and then sorts through the footage in between trips. I think maybe the first time it takes some planning and trial and error but he’s a pro film guy with a knack for framing and it seems he doesn’t have any shortage of decent equipment.

A meal certainly delicious but also more satisfying because you made it yourself and how you made it. My wife and I once visited with friends who had trapped or hunted a feral hog and barbecued it in the ground, luau-style, and that was so good, partly because it was cooked well but also the fun of creating a big enough and safe enough fire pit. And then the anticipation all day long.

I just found “Living The Van Life,” nice video. I too use the Ranger Solo Stove, cast iron tripod and Dutch ovens. You might consider cutting your wood into six inch lengths, easier to split, carry in a tub and burns down faster for coals. I much enjoy your videos, thanks. Texas
