Welcome along for another van life adventure out in the cold winter temperatures. This time I take my 2020 Mercedes Sprinter 4x4 van up into the Cascade Mountains where I find myself in sub-zero winter conditions. Even in these sub-zero temperatures I manage to build a campfire and enjoy some time in the winter wonderland of Eastern Washington. Welcome on board this winter van life adventure.

Your video had all of the main ingredients for winter...adventure, battle against the elements, preparation with good gear, a little whisky?, a fire and a trusty companion. Dude. These are the types of videos I love. I appreciate the cinematography, but really love the in the van, hunkered down, and seeing you in your living quarters type videos. It’s nice getting both parts. I personally watch the videos for the van camping and it’s cool to see your rig and what you can do in it!

Hi Chad. I discovered you on KZfaq about a week ago and have been binge watching your amazing videos ever since. I live in Scotland and it looks a lot like where you are at the moment! I bought a converted Ford Transit minibus last year and spent the whole summer travelling around Scotland with my wee dog. I've now stripped out the interior and am re-doing it to better suit me. I hang on your every word!!!! and have learnt so much from your videos, as well as enjoying the spectacular scenery. I love the way you look after Trucker so well, with his lovely warm jacket and his snow boots!! I LOVE that overhead light! Now, I don’t know all the techno terms for those handy things, but with my night blindness, MAN, if I could legally drive around with something like THAT??? The way it lit up the woods so you could see if anything was gonna come leaping out onto the road…and where the curves are before you reach them-yeah, I need one of those in my life. Maybe on the front door too…turn it on when someone ignores the No Soliciting sign…

Also not ME putting our pup (beagle/hound mix) in a full on winter coat to go outside, briefly- in our SOUTH CAROLINA just starting to hit freezing temps while y'all are showing real dogs and people how it is. This is my 10th year of van life. Too young? Never. I was in my 30's when I started. Take it slow and make sure it's totally the lifestyle you want before selling your sticks and bricks in order to live in a van. Best of luck to you both! Thanks for watching!

When I was out in the dead of winter, on the coldest, snowy night, my big rig's diesel heater kept me toasty warm while in my sleeper bunk area...They are super efficient at doing their job while only just sipping fuel...Stay warm & safe out there Mr Chad and Happy Holidays!

I am a groundworker, digger driver so work for a while travel for a while its about balance and finding what suits you. I don't do much travelling these days as done alot when I was younger but still love the life style, peace and tranquility.
