The attacking lines with the Exodia parts killed me lmao, I’m so glad they had fun with that! Like, if you’re actually summoning an Exodia part and attacking with it, you’re probably on the cusp of surrendering lol

I like the lines for the Exodia pieces attacking. Perfectly captures the "I am completely out of options." vibe of someone who feels they have to actually play them.

The reason why Solomon has a line for weevil isn’t because weevil threw his cards away but because he instructed Joey during his duel with Weevil

It’s interesting hearing a new VA for grandpa 💜. But he does an amazing job. I also love the exodia support.

There are some really cool references in here for the supernerds: -Grandpa's line about Tea growing is a reference to a gag line in chapter 1 of the manga, where grandpa makes a rude comment about Tea's figure. -The victory line about spell cards being "too much" for the opponent is a reference to the manga. When grandpa duels Kaiba, he notices that Kaiba hasnt mastered spell cards yet. -Several cards here have no connection to grandpa. Most of them are cards that historically saw play in Exodia decks. The most notable ones are sangan, witch of the black forest, and Treasure Panda. -"Yugi this isn't like you" is actually a reference to Season 0!!! In one episode, grandpa beats yugi in a casual duel. because Yugi is distracted. Grandpa then drops the line and jokes that Yugi's cards are crying due to being ignored. -There are a handful of lines where grandpa says that he'l win as soon as he summons blue-eyes. In the manga, we actually get to see the Kaiba vs Grandpa duel. Grandpa assumes that he'll win the duel as soon as he draws blue-eyes, unaware that kaiba has three of his own. It's implied that Grandpa might have won if he hadn't made that assumption, since he appeared to be more skilled than Kaiba at the time.

The majority of Solomon's cards reference his original deck that Yugi used in the Death-T duel/first episode of Duel Monsters that he would go on and use during Duelist Kingdom, but a few more are sprinkled in as easter eggs. *Sinister Serpent was used in the Kaiba Grand Tournament arc, though he used it as a stalling tactic with the anime-only Ancient Dragon combo. *Gambler of Legend is a reference to his younger, more brash days, which exemplified how he found the Millennium Puzzle. Treasure Panda is a similar example. The Wandering Mummy card highlighted the risk and punishment of those who failed the Penalty Game of claiming the Puzzle. *The appearance of Fairy Dragon and Kaiser Dragon are a reference to the episode "失われた王の記憶", or "Lost Memories of the Pharaoh", which in the manga served merely as how Seto got Obelisk the Tormentor but went further in the anime and featured a flashback to ancient times where two ka fused into Kaiser Dragon only to be obliterated by the Blue-Eyes White Dragon. *True Exodia wasn't really tied to anything in particular, but it was the last card Kazuki Takahashi drew before his untimely passing last year.

I guess those rumors about Konami abandoning duel links are untrue because the amount of detail they put into the new characters. These lines were a total delight.

I am surprise Komani gave Solomon lines with 2 Exodia's variants from the anime (Exodia Necross used by Gozaburo Kaiba and Exodius The Ultimate Forbidden Lord used by Adtian Gecko). Edit: Sangan and Witch of the Black (Plus Sanwitch) are a reference to being the combo cards to get Exodia fast.

We've got Gramps. Now we need Dartz, Noah, Normal Marik, and maybe we could get some alternative skins for the characters. Imagine changing the looks of the characters with the many attire they wore throughout the series. Yami Yugi: Pharoh Atem skin, Priest Seto, Mind controlled Joey, Thief king Bakura, season zero skins. I almost forgot an extremely important character, Anubis. You have the pyramid of light and the sphinx cards, so you need Anubis.
