14:20 x² + 7x + 10 ≤ 0 -> set the equation equal to zero so you can find x, although it isn’t necessary as I’ve seen other teachers leave it unchanged. x² + 7x + 10 = 0 -> (x+2) (x+5) = 0 -> x+2=0, x+5=0 -> x = -2, x = -5 Critical points: x = -2, x = -5 Draw a number line. Select a random number to the left of -5, a number between -5 and -2, and a number to the right of -2. I selected numbers closest to -5 and -2. Starting from the left, each section of the number line, around or between -5 and -2, will be false, true, false. Interval notation: [-5, -2] (by looking from left to the right of the number line) Inequality: x ≥ -5 OR x ≤ -2 (if the line goes left, x is ≤ smaller than or equal to, if line goes to the right, x is ≥ greater than or equal to) I prefer to write the inequality after graphing on the number line. So, the answer should be somewhere between -5 and -2 lol I could be a good tutor, I just learned this today :0

WRONG ANSWER Some parts you said were correct but I will point out the mistakes you made in your solution and conclusion, 1. " x ≥ -5 OR x ≤ -2 " Using the word "or" will contradict everything you just said, by saying that you are saying either one is correct or either one is wrong, use "and" so the final statement is: x ≥ -5 AND x ≤ -2 or we can write it into one -2 ≥ x ≥ -5 2. You said: " the answer should be somewhere between negative 5 and negative two " . There you go again, ending the paragraph by contradicting everything you just typed and solved. We don't use "somewhere in between". Are we using greater than or lesser than signs? To make it worse, you said "answer", yet in inequalities, there are endless amounts of answers No, we should say the answer is -5, -2, and the numbers between them. If you answer like this arrogant person, you will end up getting mistakes on exams and tests. Please don't be a tutor, you will fail students grades.

love ko dati math, kaso nung grade 10 (2016) ako di na pumasok kahit kailan math teacher ko kaya super struggle nung shs tapos stem pa strand ko lol. now after six years, im re-learning math ulit kasi gusto ko kumuha ng physics degree this year. thank you sa vid na to!!!

13:23 another video from Organic chemistry tutor said to use [-5,2], because they’re fixed points. You only use () if there’s an infinity included, like (-∞, 5] if someone could explain that’d be great. Okay so now I understand after I did some research; you always write ( ) with infinities, but if an inequality has a ≥ (greater than or equal to) or ≤ (less than or equal to), the number is included on the number line, which ● a filled circle is marked above the number on the number line, so we use [ ] around that number in the interval notation. If the equation only has < or >, the number isn’t included on the number line, which ○ is drawn above the number, we use ( ) around the number in interval notation. If there’s a variety of ≥, ≤, in an inequality equation, we use ( ) and [ ] depending on which number is behind each sign.

Solution: x²+7x+10 is less than/equal to 0. (X+5)(X+2) -> (Factoring) X=-5; X-2 -> (Critical Points included) We have the solutions(based on the graph and the critical points, which are included because the sign used is less than or equal to and that the solutions on the left interval are included): 0,-1,-2,-3,-4,-5. for the interval notation are negative 5 and 2 meant to b next together because they are x,x I thought ut was only. x,y

In this case, the interval notation is only showing what numbers there are. The (x,y) are excluded in this case.

naging -2 sya kase mas malaki yung 2 kaysa sa 0 at ang 2 naman ay negative so susunod sya sa negative sign ng 2 kaya -2 yung sagot..at kapag e cancel mo lang ang 0 sa 0-2, -2 pa rin yung sagot...sana naka tulong po ito.
