It originiates from Somali tho which is not surprising because by land, Kenya has more Somali, Oromo or Rendille land. Afaan-oromo is a sister language of Af-Soomaali and Rendille language comes from Somali itself, even the word Rendille comes from Somali ‘Reer Diinle’ meaning people with religion since they practice the old Somali-oromo religion with the one god Waaq or Eebe Waaq and not Islam (now it’s mixed but not when they received their name). Nice to see Somali influence elsewhere. However the opposite is also true since At-Baraawe is a language spoken in southern Somalia that is influenced by Swahili. ❤

As someone who lived before in the gulf country, I’m surprised at the amount of words that Somaliland uses that are similar to Arabic it’s literally insane.

Ciyaar bood - it's traditional somali dance. hence "ciyaar" Ba'ed is Arabic meaning egg. Not sure where Ukun originate. However correct word for egg is "jax"

In my house we use both dialects, dolly and jir are the same. Sully and musgul etc. So to me it seems like you guys don't have a broad Somali vocabulary no offense.
