Ooooh that one with Telemachus hit me hard. I'm sure once the full story is released, we'll see why it was cut, but it had so much emotion and weight that honestly captures how it feels to grow up and turn off your emotions and betray your values in certain situations.

Turning “The blood on your hands is something you can’t lose” from Horse and the Infant into an absolute banger in that This Is The Way track certainly would’ve been a decision. While it’s a shame to lose it…it’s probably for the best, tone-wise.

I've always wondered if the sirens were gonna make an appearance in Epic since the sirens are already singers so they'd be perfect for a musical depiction. I'd always assumed they'd been cut from the story since there were already so many other songs dedicated to various creatures and hostile encounters. If there was a siren song you could use the voice actresses for Athena, Penelope, Circe, and maybe even get a voice actress to play Odysseus's mom to try to lure him from the ship since lust isn't necessarily something he'd be lured by. Guilt is a much more overarching theme in Odysseus's character in this musical so I think the siren song being about his guilt over his mother's death, leaving Penelope for so long, losing Athena as an ally, and for sleeping with Circe would work for one of the main themes in the story. Such a combination of powerful voices edging towards the more sinister would be awesome too.

The way the music picks up after he starts speaking before the music almost overflows, overwhelms in that last song. Like someone terrified to ask or say something until those feelings spill over and force you to speak before you drown in them It would be cool to see the last song released maybe as an extras sort of album or standalone song

I love how we were originally going to have a case of Athena totally vibing counter to a forlorn Odysseus, and eventually that got flipped in the final version, with their relationship being shown through the music by Athena coming to embrace and later reject Odysseus’ riffing.
