Sicily by Ape Ep. 08 - Continuing the journey around Sicily I drive from Cefalu to Terrasini stoping in Palermo and Mondello along the way. This is a fun Episode with a bit of stress as I start to have some engine troubles.

Happy Easter Luke, nice episode... love the music you used while driving through hectic Pa. Your videos are wonderful and remind me of the circumnavigation of Sicily I did in 1998 (only in a rented fiat punto) ! Hopefully "He" Ape will make it back home . Be safe. Sal

I'm enjoying your videos. You have a big set driving that all over the island. My family is from not far from Cianciana. I think you have a clogged fuel filter there though or kinked fuel line.

haha thank you! yeah it was a pretty crazy trip! It was the fuel filter and air filter in the end! got them both replaced when I made it back to Cianciana and haven't had any problems since :)

Sounds like a clogged fuel filter. I guess we'll find out!

Yeah I think you nailed it! I had the fuel filter and air filter replaced when I got back to Cianciana and haven't had any problems since :)

Greetings Luke . We look forward to each episode, since we are shortly off to replicate your circumnavigation of Sicily. Although we plan to take it a lot slower, and with four wheels (and air conditioning…). Love the slice of life you show us. Hope Ape is feeling better soon. Buon proseguimento!

Good you made it.. Palermo really is crazy to drive in with scooters cars etc all in one road which just is a 2 lane road.. they can make it 4 or 5 🙄🫣🤪🤣….

Thanks Andrew! I didn't ever fully find out what one thing was wrong but when I got back I have the fuel filter and the air filter replaced and an overall tune up done that seemed to fix all the issues :)

Would be much more fun if you at least knew how to work on these "simple" 2 strokes. Always have "when needed" a simple tool pouch & a spare spark plug, wires , drive belts, filters , never worked on the Ape but it as simple as it gets, 2 stroke. Good luck and get greasy!
