Under Windows 10 Pro try this:
- run GPEDIT.MSC
- Computer configuration
- Administrative Templates
- Control Panel
- Personalization
- Do not display the lock screen (Not Configured)
Under Windows 10 Home Edition try this ► drive.google.com/file/d/12tQw...

I had same problem as you and i think i just fixed: change it to enabled, click apply, then ok, and then go back to same settings and this tame change it to not configured and apply it shoud work!

Mine was already at not configured. So I went into "force a specific default lock screen.." option instead, and disabled it. Thank you.

This didn't work for me. But I found that changing all the settings at 1:11 to disabled and applying the change. Then changing them all back to not configured and applying that change, fixed the issue.

Press Windows key + R and type control, than press Enter. That should open the Control Panel.

@@furulevi I think he means that control panel does not show up as an option under administrative templates in gpedit.msc. I have the same problem. When i double click administrative templates there are only 4 options but control panel is not one of them, only windows components,system,network and printers. May be why other people are saying it does not work. I may have to switch to Linux as Microsoft messes things up with updates and removes things you can fix it with. If you have a way of adding control panel in gpedit.msc I would like to know but I think Microsoft removed it intentionally.

Nothing fixes this. Started happening after I installed Teams temporarily, I unintalled and removed the work domain account. After 6+ hours of frustration I'm fed up of being dictated to and spied on by Microsoft so installing Ubuntu Desktop. I wish MS would also stop insisting Edge, Bing and other unwanted products - I shall be glad to see the back of it. Also all these videos assumes gpedit.msc is installed seems the only way to get it is from a link from a MS website to a 3rd party website - not good security practice giving a 3rd party "power" over your registry.
