Burnishing with the bone really brought up the shine impressively well. You mentioned that you use the bone for another trade of yours. It looks to me like a bone folder as used by bookbinders. Am I correct?

G'day Jeff, Actually bespoke shoemaking, which I'm having to take an extended Sabbatical from once the two current, very long suffering, orders are finished. Though I am learning bookbinding as well at the moment :) Cheers
