We’ve long made jokes about politicians being like puppets and with good reason too when it comes to certain special interests and donors, but for all his awfulness Trump sounds the same as he did in 2017 and for better or worse he’s the one puppeteering himself. You can certainly loathe him for being the equivalent of a shady used car salesman on steroids among other things, but Biden is an actual crumbling marionette before our eyes who’s clearly not the one in charge right now. 12 years ago he would’ve been a decent by the numbers Democrat president. But this isn’t at all the same guy. That guy is long gone. Biden is undeniably senile. It’s not up for debate. I’ve known people suffering from dementia and it’s upsetting to watch it begin to unfold. Biden gets physically lost at most events now wandering off, and can’t do anything without a teleprompter even sometimes reading “pause, repeat the line” on the teleprompter. At all of his press conferences for years now he has cards he reads from that tell him everything that’s going on for the event because they know he’ll get lost. There are pictures of it so it’s not some conspiracy. He’s being handled. He’s not running anything. And because he’s clearly not the one in charge running anything, a vote for him wouldn’t even be voting for a president; it’d be a vote for whatever unelected group is controlling what he does and what he signs. Vote how you wish but be honest with yourself that you’re voting a vague left agenda driven by a group we don’t know and not for an actual person who’s actually in charge as “the president” behind closed doors.
