Great reaction! Yes, Avi has a wonderful voice. He's an opera trained basso profundo ( deep bass) and now has his own solo career. Kevin is an incredible beatboxer...always coming up with unusual sounds to imitate. Since releasing his first true solo song in March 2019, Avi Kaplan has written and produced quite a catalog of songs, with wide-ranging genres and instrumentation. He just finished his 3rd full US tour and will be heading to Europe in September for his 3rd tour there. If you want to check out what he has created apart from PTX, most reactors start with that first release - "Change on the Rise" - wherein he does all vocals and sounds other than organ and tambourine in the bridge. He makes great use of his vocal training, and of his composition and arranging training from college.

After PTX won their season of The Sing-Off, moved to LA, and had the record contract that was part of their winnings dropped by the record company that didn't know how to market an a cappella group. They started making videos on KZfaq and this was the first video of theirs that went viral. While the view count is miniscule compared to the original by Gotye, it still was a huge boost for them as they tried to make a name for themselves.

It doesn't matter what year or what song you pick of Pentatonix they are amazing. Have fun on your trip. We'll be waiting.

I notice that you have done quite a few reactions to Japanese groups. Pentatonix is popular in Japan; they have done special recordings for the Japanese market and collaborated with J-pop girl group Little Glee Monster "Dear My Friend" and "Midnight in Tokyo", and J-pop boy group Ateez ("A Little Space").

You should check out his solo stuff. Would recommend Change on the rise or Full moon they are very different but both are great.
