Thank for this flip thru. This is a nice magazine like DD. I usually go thru them both, when I can, at Barns & Nobles. I usually buy one or the other, but noticed that I favor DD a bit more. I guess it’s what I see that will trigger some idea in my head. However, thank you for going thru Somerset Studio. Carol from California

Looks a beautiful magazine! However, like DD, the cost with shipping is ridiculous (equivalent of US$50 approx. per issue!!) 😱 I don't know why the publishers don't have an umbrella deal with the main newsagent chain in overseas countries... I realize we'd be well behind the 'current issue' but at least we could purchase them! It's very frustrating 😒

I live in Australia so Somerset Studio works out to be quite pricey. But I love it so much I just keep renewing my subscription, year after year. I always find inspiration between the covers.

You are lucky I missed renewing my subscription and now they will not post to Australia according to the lady I spoke to at Somerset Studio. I think they had too many problems.

@@artcraftjournals They hope it's a temporary suspension of services to us. I tried to order a one off issue of a different magazine last year, and when I couldn't find Australia on the shipping list I asked about it. During the pandemic postal and shipping services have been in such high demand that it all became too hard.

HI: I do a lot of mixed media and I use materials I have on hand. I find many people show different products you don’t necessarily need. You can make a lot from what you already have. I find so much is from countries where certain products are cheaper, but where I live they are very expensive, so I’m picky about what I buy and try to find multiple uses for one product. an example is putting in black shadows. I have 4 permanent ink markers and 2 types of water color that I use and that’s it, no extra markers and no extra paint crayons. I also use the same materials for other things plus painting watercolours. I can be done, you just need to think outside the box on the different supplies you do have.
