Everybody did the coil "glitch" back then. Blame it on Bungie for not having ANY way to get more ammo on a wipe. There were no rally flags and heavy couldn't drop from normal red bars either. It would usually take 2-3 ammo runs after a legitimate attempt for everybody to be ready for another which is stupid and extremely time wasting. If the coil glitch didn't exist then a team could have lost worlds first specifically because they had to do extra runs for ammo vs another team that got lucky with ammo. Rng ammo should never decide a world's first and rally flags(and contest mode because leveling is more than time put it, it's rng as well) has made it so every team has an equal starting position. Now if they had used the no enemy glitch, or if the coil glitch that allowed you to store 100s of rockets into the mag had existed and been used I could see that being cheating bit using coil to get ammo because none would drop isn't cheating.

Doesn't matter. Every team who used it should've been disqualified bc other teams who didn't use it lost that opportunity bc these other teams decided to take a shortcut. No hate, no idiotic basement dwellers sending death threats but they didn't deserve WF. Would you say that a team should win the Superbowl if they use steroids over the team that didn't? It's not ok bc you like clan Redeem and you like this guy so fuck the ppl who got cheated.

I mean tbh it seems like the heavy ammo brick glitch is the equivalent of quick swapping. I can understand why people would be mad, however sending death threats draws the fucking line. At the end of the day, it was a loop hole that got used. And in a competition, you have to use whatever advantage, y’know? Overall, the past is in the past. The glitch didnt boot anyone offline, didnt attack anyone else; it wasnt malicious in nature. Get over yourself please. the coil glitch wasn't small though lol and kids who say kill yourself are usually 8 and think you can respawn in real life and make homemade chug jugs so there's no point getting touched/serious over it and honestly I feel bad for the people who ran the raid and got to the end and started doing the boss legit after hours of hard work hoping they'd get worlds first only for a team to get in and insta kill the boss with the coil glitch lmfao its pretty much a huuuge kick in the nuts and slap in the face and id feel like shit afterwards and be pretty pissed if i was in their shoes but at the same time if the glitch was in the game at the time and it was allowed i'd definitely be abusing it not just to get an edge but to be on an even playing field with the other players going for worlds first since they're gonna abuse it too lmfao so they're dumb on their part for not using it then blaming others for "cheating" for a non-offensive exploit that bungie wasn't punishing people for using lol

This reminds me of when I saw this guy post a video of him soloing Riven and then Queenswalk in one go no cuts. Some people were doing everything they could to knock him down a few pegs. Basically calling him an idiot because Esoterickk did it before him or the fact that he was using someone else’s strat as if that somehow made his accomplishment invalid. Some people are just bastards and I’m pretty sure half the people on the subreddit have brain damage because some of the things they say are too stupid to be explained any other way

Yeah some parts of the community are absolutely abhorrent. I know that I can never experience something on the scale as what you went through, but I’ve had people send me death threats several years ago just because I was still a kid and I was playing the game. That shit made me super distrusting of other people on the internet and I’ve struggled to muster up the courage to join public discord servers and their voice chats. I’m barely getting over that shit now, damn near 6 years later when I’m an adult and about to start doing college. This kind of thing cuts deep and never goes away, but you’ve managed to grow from it and we’re all proud of you.

Anyone who's a part of the fighting game community should really understand this. Once the tournament starts there's no holds barred, everything is on the table because you are going for the win. So. You're telling me. The coil glitch that EVERYONE USED, that JUST GAVE HEAVY AMMO, is something people are stressing over? You have my permission to lol at them. Better yet, tell them "You get worlds first without heavy ammo then." Literally millions of players used that glitch, not just top teams. It was the only way bungo could justify not putting in ANYTHING to help the ammo economy.

The ammo economy is so much better these days xD. I get plenty of heavy drops with 2 rocket launcher ammo finders on, and I get 2 rockets from the drops I get from the ammo finder mod. If it's a natural heavy drop I get 3 rockets, thanks to the scavenger mod. Special ammo is good too.

As someone who has been following you, and fairly heavily, ever since that Prestige Levi World's First you fucking deserve it man. as someone who found sweat through the video, I honestly had no idea he exploited then and even now, can absolutely careless. mostly cause it’s a game and a buggy one at that, exploits are gonna happen and personally it’s fun to have multiple speedrun categories of glitches/glitch less and such. adds more opportunity and generally just doesn’t matter.

Personally, I believe that the hate is extremely undeserved. Bungie could’ve made more moves on their part to help you and your team in terms of hate and witch-hunting. No hate, but it’s almost ironic how focused on mental health everyone is in this day and age, until it’s a content creator. It’s as though content creators aren’t seen as human, when in reality, you, even myself, and every other content creator is just as human as the rest of us. Hey Sweat, coming fwd about the whole thing is the best and only solution towards making things right with yourself and all parties involved. Being humble or showing humility is key to internal struggles within ourselves like such,, and it opens doorways to improving upon who you are as a person. My dad taught me "integrity (doing the right thing, even when no one is looking) is everything, it will make you a man." I've found this to be 100% true. It is fair to observe however (food for thought), there is no one here that has been and still are showing support for you that are in the slightest bit being "petty" towards you. With that being said, ain't no sense in offsetting the positive thing you just did with a negative. Haters gonna hate. You have wholeheartedly come forward, talked about it, apologized. If they refuse to accept it, then that's their loss. Put your energy towards your friends, we got your back.

Damn dude that whole situation sucked. I’m glad the haters mostly seem to have gone away or stayed quiet since then. I wasn’t really playing too much Destiny at the time but I remember hearing about this and thinking it was just a few community members throwing a shit fit. Didn’t know it happened to the extent that it did. But I’m very happy you didn’t quit and continue to make good stuff to this day!

I started destiny 2 4 years ago and was looking up guide and just gameplay to learn from you were one of the best people I could've seen on KZfaq I laugh every video you make and sometimes cry cause of the amount of people you have helped and there were times I had to leave destiny and yet I came back cause of friends I made here and you and there are people that hate you cause you used a glitch tons of people did not just you and yet they hate you cuase of a record to me that's stupid any way that's all keep up the good work bro love the channel and the community

I was still fairly new to Destiny when the Coil Glitch was a thing, I had only been playing a few months and even I knew about the glitch. This wasn't a rare thing or a hidden tech. LITERALLY the entire community knew about it. Blows my freaking mind that people got so tilted as much as they did. I don't mind people getting tilted or upset. I myself have been known to rage fairly hard. But at the end of the day, its a video game...made for having fun...why would people take it any more serious than that? Sweat, you were one of the main inspirations for me trying to be a content creator. You were one of the influences for me to meet lifelong friends and memories. Sometimes emotions suck, i get it, but please remember to try and ignore the haters or that its okay to speak your mind. Because in the midst of all the horribleness, there are people, like myself, who's lives were permenatly changed because you wanted to play a video game. Thx for everything Mr Sweat.

One of worst parts of the internet is the lack of accountability for the things people do on here. It can bring the worst parts about the things we love to light for better or for worse. For those of us who choose to focus on the better, it’s important to speak about the ugliest parts so there can be some accountability, staying complicit only keeps the status quo. Expressing your feelings on the internet is brave sweat, and I know a lot of us in the community are proud of you for doing so. When people make death threats and tell people to kill themselves over something that happen in a video game, something that doesnt even directly benefit these toxic people its so unbelievble that these people wake up and look at themselves in the morning through the mirror they probably shattered because mom didnt leave hotpocket at their door when they were gaming in their hobbit holes, and they truly believe what they say or how they think is something even half way decent. Im glad you stuck to this and kept going.
