Hi Jim, it is good to hear from you. The hammerhead shark is well built. Cherie remarked how warm it was at the take down. It may even contribute to the thing filling out so well. I am glad I close the black over the standard blue. A black kite just seems to dominate the space it is in. Anyway, it has been a very long time since we have dine the kites. Lousy coastal weather and punishingly hot at home. These doldrums only exaggerate my aches and pains. I do not like being reminded. I find it sad that so many of the kites you and I purchased are no longer available. Gomberg gone and Into the Wind seems to be bare bones. Premier has by and largely stalled out too. I've seen their dragon kite on video. I think a person really would have to want one to pay that much. I am glad you continue to keep up with your routines. It is good for your health. Stay in touch.

@@PanyingPilot It sounds as if the shark might fly by itself as a hot-air balloon, Glen! Spring has arrived here, although we had some snow a week or two ago. 82nd birthday coming up next month, but I'm still flying as often as the weather permits.

@@PanyingPilot we were all lucky to get some of the kites we did when they were available. I need to get my Dynakite stacks out again. They're no longer in business either. Of course Jim is the king of kites and a great resource to see what's new and cool.

@@nicksgarage2 I still regret getting into kiting right when the Carsten Doman series including the Buka kite was being sold out. Premier had a Roller and a Rokkaku with kangaroo and crocodile graphic in brown that was beautiful, sigh! I think the day we went to Morro was the last good day until a couple of days ago. NOw that we are into the shoulder season, the sky should be clear, but the winds can come from shore to sea reversing the direction we usually fly at.

He said "Fin" first, so we kept that. I'll tell you, people are anything but indifferent when they see a 20 foot hammerhead. Now, you have me thinking. Do great whites get this big, if so dammmmmn!
