It's strange that this actually applies, the clones and droids are the only ones that can truly understand each other, manufactured and programmed to fight and die, simply tossed aside afterwards. The idea of them going somewhere only the know just makes so much sense.

This song had no effect on me as a 10-year-old when it came on the radio. I thought it was repetitive and boring. But now, almost 20 years later, I'm on the verge of tears at 2am because of a Clone and a Clanker.

This concert took place at a clone wars memorial sometime after the fall of palpatine with veterans from both sides of the conflict, that is how it happened, I feel it in my bones.

The clone sounds like a underground rock singer god in the making. The droid is the older artist on his final tours boosting the next generation, while his voice strains, he puts all the effort in to help the guy up next.

Why is this so amazing? Seriously this is simply astounding, just imagining how the Clones and The Droids could connect on the fact they were just disposable tools to both of their sides is making me legitimately emotional, why isn't there a Comic Series or something about a Clone and a Droid trying to survive together during the Empire's Reign? It'd be beautiful.

I love the progression of this piece trought time: First the original comes out, then someone makes an AI Cover with a B1. Then, someone makes the clone version. After that, another person puts them together to make the Audio. And at last, here we have the animation. Its poetic how the community came together to create this little Gem the same way Droids and Clones did to sing It. Now, we wait to discover if and how It will evolve from here on out..

Better love story than Twilight

I remember shortly after I was recovered from the ruins of Tipoca City, this song was always played once a day on the holonet radio. I’ve always believed that the clones and droids singing were the first to defect.

The fact that theyre singing into lightsabers makes this perfection.

That climactic crescendo - that scream of anguish. It's like all the frustrations and trauma of the Clone Wars and how they were tossed aside afterwards from every Clone and Droid screamed out.

It’s crazy that this song was put on the map 10+ years later because we all saw a emotionally torn Clanka on the battle field, now it’s turned to this masterpiece

I loved it. It brought tears to my eyes. Also that the Clone Trooper and B1-Battle Droid sang with Light Sabers, instead of actual microphones is hilarious.

This the perfect culmination of the community's work, it sounds terrific. Thematically, two opposing foot soldiers singing like this together, when you know the history of the Clone Wars, it's actually quite touching. I'm in love with this cover.

I'm a little shocked what emotional impact this has on me. I'm going through a pretty hard time right now and the lyrics perfectly describe how I felt for the last couple of weeks. Hearing the voices which accompanied me through my childhood takes me back to these simpler times and comforts me a lot. It's bittersweet really, and I can't believe I'm actually saying this about an STAR WARS AI COVER OF A MELANCHOLIC POP SONG.

I literally can't stop watching this. It's _so_ good. First off, it's kinda a fitting song for the Clones and Droids to sing: the war was their life, and they struggle when they can't find their purpose anymore. Second, the presentation is amazing. The low-quality models add an amateur humour (like the out of sync drummers), but what sells it for me are the singers' poses. They're janky, but slouch depressedly. And yet several times they straighten their backs and hold their heads high in the face of each other, as if neither wants to fully show their loss without the other army's presence challenging their existence. Since they're the ones in call and response with each other, the musicians refuse to look at their leads. Good soliders follow orders, and orders were to kill the enemy. So they allow themselves to get lost in their playing, just as Clones turned on potential defectors so easily. It just looks so friggin hilarious to see a budget model try to look begrudging anyways. And the camerawork. It's very committed to who's in the spotlight at that time, even omitting the Drummer Droid since drums actually aren't playing that bit at first. Third, the _music._ I tried listening to the original after i heard this, but this _is_ the definitive version for me. The Clone is struggling to make himself audible out of shame. The Droid sounds physically incapable of singing with such empathy, so the tone is strained and unlike the Clone's, forced in a loud cry as hard as he possibly can to make anything work. They're also mediocre (if not accurate) rigs, which adds to the humour, but I unironically love the Droid's voice. But better still is the back and forth, so neither is exposed to the mic for too long to hurt our ears. The song gets increasingly better as they begin to waver on long word notes, too, and the key change. Just, phenomenal. Somehow a freaking meme displays Republic fallout and sells a cover magnificently, all while being a funny "Look at the robot trying to do this" joke.

I like to imagine these 2 soldiers are singing this as the clone learns the true weight of his atrocities against the Jedi and the B-1 comes to terms with the fact that he's being discarded, forgotten, and left with no purpose now that the war is over

A droid and a clone teaming up to survive on a hostile, forgotten planet, going on adventures, saving each other, and the droid remembers all this as he sings this song while laying his old clone brother to rest. And his battery goes dead one last time, with nobody around to charge it.

In this context the line “Is this the place that I’ve been dreaming of!” It’s hard because we know all clones had a nightmares of a never ending battle.

I just felt the biggest rush of nostalgia I’ve ever had listening to this. Like almost on the verge of tears. This was absolutely and beautifully amazing

Why do i love both of their voices so much, the clones voice rips so hard

I’m convinced that the voice of the clones is the best voice to ever exist. That voice actor is a lucky man.

this is the 4th time in the past two weeks I've found myself here, and the 13th time listening to this in that same amount of time. And, fyi, I am a classically-trained singer and AI music makes me frustrated. This is so stinking good and I hate that I love it. The clone's deep voice compliments and contrasts the droid's vocals and it is so perfect. I have never been more confused about how I feel about a song in my entire life.

I think what makes this seem more tragic is when you realize they are one in the same. Both used solely for war, and they are all replaceable.

Finally, some time after order 66, the clones and the clankers put their differences aside and began a band. Travelling the galaxy to perform and show that anybody can work together, if they only just try hard enough.
