Somewhere Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World

Maple crossed over the rainbow bridge one year ago today. Cherry and I miss her every day, but I feel so lucky to have spent so many amazing years with her. She lived a long and happy life, filled with so much love and joy. I found putting this tribute together for her emotionally cathartic, being reminded of all the wonderful times we shared together. Israel Kamakawiwoʻole's song has always been special to me and I would often play the song for Maple but never released a video until now.
Until we meet again, somewhere over the rainbow, I love you Maple.

Remember, maybe Maple wasn't here for your whole life, but you were there for almost all of hers, and gave her the best life she could have ever wished for. She knows she was loved. She doesn't just live on in your heart, but in countless others too.

Oh Trench, already a year that she has been gone over the rainbow? It seems like yesterday. This is such a beautiful tribute to your beloved Maple...clips of her as a younger, springier dog and progressing to her autumn days in company with darling Cherry. If anyone is worried and wondering, he is active on Facebook and Instagram. There have only been 6 posts since this video. Cherry turned 6 in October and Maple would have been 14 in December. Cherry and his human enjoyed Christmas together shortly after. June 16th marked the second year since Maple’s passing. That is the most recent post. Always good to see that Mr Trench and Cherry are doing well💘

I don't think I'll ever be able to watch these videos of Maple without crying. This is a beautiful tribute to a beautiful soul. I loved seeing a snippet of Maple as a puppy, too!

I could not think of a more perfect way to remember her today. I still think of her often. She made a big impression on me and my wee dog here in Scotland. Thank you for sharing her with the world.

Imma play this for my grandma. She passed away today. I didn't think of this until I was riding home and the sky had this weird beautiful rainbow hue around this particular cloud. I know she's above the rainbow looking down. Let's make the world a better place than when our precious ones left it.

I've never been so sad over someone else's dog's passing away. Started listening to you guys since more than 6 years back - La La Land. I was losing my direction in life when I came across the tune. The arrangement was so touching and the way Maple so enjoyed, so was at one with your music, your every note - all that made my soul really comforted and my spirits lifted up.

She passed away on 14th august, 2018. Its almost been 5 years, and I can't help but miss Hazel, my best friend, my companion. She was there all throughout my childhood, showed me that loving someone goes beyond words and that it sometimes takes the greatest love to simply be there for someone, patiently, understanding and gently. Hazel, you are missed every moment.

This reminds me of the quote: Grief, I’ve learned, is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give, but cannot. All that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in that hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go.

Going over to my parents house tonight to say goodbye to our bird dog. He is 15 and today is his last day. 😢 struggling to focus on work. I pray y’all experience the joys of having a dog claim you.
