Here's my interpretation of the song. She's talking about how she likes the guy but is scared he won't like her so she tries to be the kind of girl she thinks he'll like. The part in the beginning she says she practices in the mirrow to look innocent and vulnerable because she doesn't want to look like she tried too hard. She flips that over completely during her rap though and shows her bold and direct side but then goes back to trying to be something she's not.

I think what she meant about the 'having a small appetite' part and 'being scared of bugs' part was playing into the (bad) stereotypes that guys don't like girls who eat a lot or that guys have to 'protect' girls from things like bugs and she's acting like that kind of girl in front of him maybe OR NOT because her rap is like "no, I ain't got time for that" so she doesn't want to be seen as someone like that because the actual visuals in the MV are opposite to what she says in those parts
