There are 2 tracks from this album that are magnificent, namely Spiderweb Train and Seven birds. Beautifully composed with the usual tasteful Per Nilsson guitar licks.

I saw them playing live many times here in Sweden in the late 70:s and early 80:s. For me their masterpiece is their second album "inget nytt under solen".

A very good Kaipa record, but you're right : it's too long and too samey. I think that Urskog is WAY better ( less singing, more cohesive and more jazz-fusion overtones). In fact Urskog is my favourite Kaipa with Keyholder, In the Wake of Evolution and Notes from the Past.

Hot take: Kaipa without Roine Stolt is not true Kaipa, and not even a band, but rather just a Hans Lundin ego trip studio project. :)

But that's not a bad thing. I love Vittjar and ItWoE. I think they are great albums.
