Nice walkthrough. I would recommend that you pause your transducer next time you mess with your units out of the water. There’s a good chance you overheat your transducer elements and cause damage that will either break or recede image clarity.

New Subscriber, are each of your units set up to their own transducer or can they use common transducers? I am looking at setting up a dual station fly bridge Carrebean So I would think that some would be head sets that are just displaying the same information? I have no idea of this type of configuration and just trying to get my head around what is needed and if that changes the costs much if they are using just say two or three different transducers as mine will have at least one for deep water being 150 to 400 meters Cheers Garry Love how in depth your video is and it was seriously helpful for me to get my head around some things I didn't know or understand

Thank you for watching and subscribing! The beautiful thing about having a full Lowrance system is that I have 6 transducers, but all the units in the system have access to each transducer, so I could run any transducer on any of the 4 HDS12 Pro units on the boat. A great resource for you to get the best configuration for your needs would be to contact the guys over at BassBoatElectronics.com. I realize that you are not in a bass boat, but Jason the owner started out rigging bigger boats with West Marine and can work on anything, and they are very good at isolating what you do, and don’t need, for what you do. Best customer service in the biz too.

Perfect timing on the video, I just won an HDS PRO 12 and active target in a contest, wouidn't have had a clue how to set this up. Curious though, where do you have your "scout" mode set up, I saw you had two active targets in a previous video but only one of them set up on your screens.

Well, this is something we are going to have to figure out. I’ve got the transducer on there now for Scout but I found that it doesn’t work in that position. I’m going to have to move it to the shaft. I probably won’t be using both at the same time much. Scout is better for following weed lines or finding stumps/wood and stuff like that. I’ll be experimenting and reporting back here.

have 2-12 lives -is it worth updating to the pros?

Im going to need some more time with them to answer that question fully. Once I get some more time and learn what has changed, I will try to do a video on the comparison between these and the Lives.
