When this first came out ,I was transfixed by it....listening to it over and over ...ear to the speakers if late at night ,loud if I was upset ....when sad I would sing the song line and the rich calm voice would give me solace ....then ,after many years( record long gone ,I found I could have all my favourites back again ...I hope you hear Elton ...I have loved this peace of Universal conciousness ...blessings to you and all others that " get" this song in a wordless way

I'm not an Elton John fan, far from it, but this really is a beautiful tune. My ex wife had a greatest hits up until about '75 and I ended up appreciating his and Bernie Taupin's talents. Songs like, Your Song, Rocket Man, Sorry Seems to be the hardest word, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, Crocodile Rock, Daniel, Tiny Dancer, Daniel. All good songs, and that's coming from someone who isn't a n Elton fan, but I do believe his earlier work was better. I forgot Candle in the wind, Bennie and the Jets and Saturday nights alright for fighting.👍

As a fan, I remember seeing this live broadcast. In reviewing the video I realized, much later, as Drucker thinks Elton is a blockhead, that Souchon bored, as Clavier and Jeanne Mas wonder what they're doing. Elton is just too good.

No matter what you or someone else THINK - what you FEEL is the only thing that matters! So if you FEEL that it is the work of genius - enjoy it, if not - don't try to express the opinion for all.

I think the host assures elton that after 30 seconds more of him playing (as a favor), they will definitely be finished with him playing the piano. "après, ce sont finis pour le piano, definitivement". Sounds like they were (apologetically) hounding him for one more song.
@1hinge2 жыл бұрын

There are those who speak That people's lives It's nothing in the world It's a drop, it's a time Not even a second There are those who speak That is a divine Deep mystery It is the breath of the creator In an attitude full of love We make life As you can, or can, or want, Always wanted no matter how wrong, Nobody wants death, just luck and health ................. Life Isn't death everything
