What's your favorite live performance by Chris Stapleton? I don't think it gets any better than Sometimes I Cry. Just my humble opinion but if you enjoyed the video, check out my reaction to Cold here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/aKmcdayn183Lpac.html

The newest one of Starting over, from the CMA's gives me goosebumps every time I watch it. Just him, his beautiful and talented wife, and an acoustic guitar. The mic is so strong you can lightly hear people in the audience. I'm no musician but I would imagine a mic that strong can make you or break you. They are good enough that it's pretty magical. Simple, clean, and real. Just like it should be.

Yeah glad you did this one! Your bringing up a great point w the bass and drummer. It's very impressive how the effortlessly go up and down with volume or style ( not sure how to say that right) of playing their instruments. They do seem to fit perfectly w Chris in what they are trying to do...the goal of the music. Obviously Chris is a vocal driven artist, having a drummer hammer at 100 mph the whole time takes away from the vocals. Chris is certainly not Clapton or Stevie ray Vaughan but that really isn't his lane. Keep it up!

Just discovered your channel and it’s just what I needed! Chris Stapleton, Jason Isbell, Tyler Childers, Colter Wall, & a Bruce Springsteen or John Moreland cover? Some of my all time favorites, and all I’ve been listening to lately. Check out Zach Bryan whether it be through a reaction or on your own personal listening. I’d recommend From A Lover’s Point of View (a sequel track to his track Let You Down written beautifully dealing with alcoholism in a relationship.), Condemned, or Heading South. He’s covered both John Moreland & Jason Isbell and has a hell of a voice for a young dude. Looking forward to more videos, man!

@@SongwriterReacts Every thing that Chis does actually touches me in some way. My two favorites are Anything with Chris, his guitar, a mic and nothing else or every think that was from Austin City Limits recordings. I find the looks that pass between him and his wife during those performances add so much to them, especially Tennessee Whisky. Thing is that 2 months ago, I didn't know who Chris Stapleton was. Guess I was under a rock somewhere. Cold maybe the saddest song I know. That or Either Way
