Here a fast recap of each zone in the original speedrun : - AI : Nothing special in the original game - H : Using the wall to level warp to the boss, Hitbox abuse with the boss, Music swapp in the boss - MG :Vertical warp to go trough the sandpit, The act 2 boss in act 1, Level bugged after the boss - CN : Gravity glitch with the weel, knuckles road in act 2 - IC : Slope glitch + Level warp - LB : badnick manipulation to level warp, Mid boss knuckles trigger end act 1, 2nd mid boss trigger end of the act 2 and Death Egg Cutscene - Mh : Door clip to level warp - FB : Slope glitch, laser skip - S : Vertical warp - LR : multiple stair clip + perfect double spindash to skip the wall - SS : Vertical warp to skip most of the level - DE : nothing , Red eyes is probably the harder boss in cuasual.

4:05 the flying battery ship actually looks really well drawn

For those who don’t know, the custom flying battery sprite is inspired by the military airship in Castle in the Sky.

When this released it felt different, but now it's just like one of the classics. :) The many gags gave aged well, if they weren't already timeless, and in the end this manages to be clever while still granting a few good laughs! P/P.

The start of the speed run reminded me about a glich in sonic origins. If you used debug menu in the cut scene of sonic three tails would just fly around the island with hella glitchy graphics

The glitches if they actually made sense: Hydrocity: Sonic slides under the wall, where there are a bunch of boost pads Marble Garden: Eggman was in the middle of creating Eggrobo when Sonic finds a path to where he is. He completly destroys Eggrobo, and Tails picks him up at a super high speed to go to Carnival Night. Ice Cap: Sonic burrows through the snow with his speed Launch Base: Sonic goes to the left of the start, finding a switch that turns off all the badniks and the Death Egg with a five-minute delay. Mushroom Hill: Sonic rages so hard that Knuckles is waiting there that he jumps down, yeets Knuckles at the door, and then slides under it just before it closes, providing a teleporter to Flying Battery: The sudden appearance of Sonic scares Eggman so much that the steering goes out of control Lava Reef: Sonic spindashes through, breaking the stairs Sky Sanctuary: Sonic uses the teleporter once again to go up to the Death Egg.
