Seen lots of people doing their own rendition of R2 Past/GF/BF, but so far this is the only one that gets the style spot on. Totally believable as R2 Past.

Present: Jungle on a Mountain with Ruins (Liquid=Lava and/or Water) (Time=Day, Light blue sky.) Past: Prehistoric Volcanic Jungle (Liquid=Lava) (Time=Sunrise, overall a purple sky with red and orange tints from the sunrise.) Bad Future: Acidic Ominous Castle in a now Arid Wasteland or Polluted Desert (Liquid=A type of Green Acid) (Time=Any Time? Sky is a dark green, it is dark because of pollution not the time. And it can be green because it can indicate something like a storm or something, maybe acid rain. Good Future: Futuristic Castle in a Lush Forest (Liquid=Water) (Time=Night, Purple Starry Sky.)

Honestly this is really good beyond just a fan recreation of a lost Sonic CD track. It has a lot of soul, and really makes me feel like I'm hearing something from a distant time in the past.

I'm a sucker for unused/scrapped levels in games and hearing the recreations of the past and bad future versions along with the DA Garden version of the present made me think my renditions of what R2/Dubious Depths could have been: Present: a large forest with a simple underground dungeon filled with vegetation and roots of the aboveground trees watered by the aqueducts running through above and within the dungeon. Despite the area's mostly peaceful presence, a few hints of technology and traps created by the doctor such as mechanical pillars and giant fans that can carry Sonic upwards are planted, leading to a risky path within the underground system. Past: In its early years, the underground dungeon was mostly consisted of caverns untouched by technology and were created by natural aqueducts of water running through the newly formed tunnels of the dungeon. Above ground, streams of water from the mountains are moving to the area of small trees as well as going underground to the caverns. Bad Future: Without anything to stop him, Eggman's presence had changed the once adventurous dungeon into a dangerous labyrinth filled with towering mechanical pillars and obstacles, making it near impossible to escape from the ruthless dungeon. The trees that once covered the aboveground area have all withered out and died as the aqueducts that brought water to the area were replaced by metal pipelines siphoning the water from the now desolate forest. Good future: With the help of the time stones, the area now has giant trees towering above the dungeon, as the caverns contain tunnels of water directly feeding the roots of the trees as well as other forms of vegetation, leading the dungeon to resemble a beautiful garden inside to look around while in a spelunking adventure. The increased water production has also led to a rainbow effect on the waterfalls, giving the area a more colorful atmosphere.

This is actually the best Past Styled Song (that mimics the JP ost) I’ve ever heard, like in general, this legitimately sounds like something that would be in the game, it’s perfect, 10/10 easily

I feel like the sound palette sounds a bit too similar to Palmtree Panic and Collision Chaos, but I guess that also makes sense seeing as Dubious Depths would be between the two zones. Compositionally though, this is great, and production-wise it definitely sounds like a past track.

Im doing it Present: this Past: Frenzy Fossils (picture a tall forest/underground with a lot of dinosaurs that live off and thrive from the buildings Bad Future: Twisted Terrains or Dangerous Dungeons (picture it as a meat factory taking half of the dinosaurs or a wood making factory killing the land. Good Future: Primal Preach (picture a lot of churches and trees with its repaired ruins now a place of peace even the underground became clear of the evils of eggman)
