We actually met up with him and took a big group photo after the Sonic Block. Great lad that just happened to have an Eggman costume he used on halloween, didn't meet him till like 15 minutes before the block.

Wow, this run was great! There were so many cool tricks and skips, and they were all excellently explained by the runner and couch. Plus, even when there's not a trick happening, the run looked cool and the crew kept me entertained the whole time! Overall a favorite from this GDQ!

I think the Nega-Wisp Armor fight is actually much more intimidating in the Wii version. All he does in the DS version is use 5 wisps one at a time, but in the Wii version he uses them in combination with each other. Even though the boss actually isn't that hard in the end, it's still terrifying in concept, cause Eggman basically uses them more creatively in my opinion. Imagine if SEGA basically remade Sonic Colours but redesigned the boss fight to be a ton harder. I really think it would be amazing if it jumped in difficulty per phase as he comes up with more and more creative combinations of wisps.

It's actually Roger Craig Smith saying it I believe. The arcade announcer vibe probably comes from the fact that some machines use video game character sounds

Yeah, but Sonic Colors is actually quite beloved by a lot of people (it IS a very good Sonic game afterall ^_^) and I believe Sonic Generations is also well liked. So not all of them are hated, though I get why most of them are >.

because this and generations were the pinnacle of the modern era, forces was a good attempt..but failed becasue of how easy the game was and how much autopiloting was in the game, however episode shadow was a really good prequel story, the levels were challenging and exciting, even more than the main campaign

I think this is one of my favourite AGDQ runs, the commentary is really good and it’s taught me a bunch of cool speedrunning tricks I didn’t even know existed in colours! All in all a very good watch

Gotta ask, why didn't he boost during the last stage? There's gotta be a reason, right? does it just straight up not let you? Is it a bad idea that crashes the game, what's up?

There's plenty of automated running sections where your speed gets capped and boosting does nothing, so if you don't see me boosting in a place that seems great for boosting, that's usually why :)

@@spritvio639 Ugh, DON'T tell me you think this game is better than Sonic Unleashed (PS3/Xbox 360). Unlike Sonic Colors, SEGA put MORE effort into developing that game, I can SEE that they did. I mean.. don't get me wrong, Colors is a good game, but I think Unleashed is better.

I love this game, and feel it's overhated simply because automatically hating Sonic games is the "cool" thing to do these days. Brilliant to see so many route breaks and creative shortcuts. :)

@@_havien3 I’ll agree with you, I never use boost in 2D. That’s why I loved generations so much, the platforminy in 2D was intended for SPEED. Colors is so unbearably slow

Eh....I think the Wisps were better in the Wii version than the DS. There's variety in them, you can use more than 2 Wisps a world, they are more fun to use in the Wii version and there's more of them. As for the boss fights. Yeah, they are better in the DS version. Except the planet wisp one, I hate that one.

Sonic FORCES was WAY more of an abomination than Sonic Unleashed, that game was made out of pure laziness (with its BAREBONES level design and UNBEARABLY short, unchallenging and mostly automated stages), unlike Unleashed. Unleashed (HD) isn't even an abomination! How the HECK is that game an abomination?!

@@acousticslayer5883 So your telling me Aquarium Park was boring? Also, eh Story doesn't matter in a video game at least not as much as the gameplay. You can have a bad game with a good story and a good game with a bad story. Story is just a compliment, especially for this series.
