In this video, I am reviewing the New York Dog and Tots from Sonic Drive-In. They were $5.71.
* The New York Dog is a beef hot dog made with 100% pure beef, grilled to perfection and topped with spicy brown mustard, grilled onions and crunchy sauerkraut in a soft, warm bakery bun. It is 400 calories.
* The Tots are crispy potato pieces. A medium is 360 calories.

Oh, Kevin....Being called sweetie or honey is a lot nicer than some other things I can think of. People are so nasty and divisive that I miss the days when we were a kinder, gentler society.

I live in NC and "sweetie" and " honey" are used constantly. We have alot of people move here from NY that hate those words but we don't like their harshness... so oh well😛

I've come across a couple of transplanted New Yorkers and I gotta wonder what the reason is for their harshness in the first place. It's over the top and in your face. Not the way I was raised to behave so it's off-putting.

I love their New York Dog. I think you just got a badly made hot dog which really can happen with any food you order from anywhere. I have had some that had too much mustard but one made right is very good. As for the terms of endearment you hate for people to use, I'll refrain from speaking religiously here, but my feeling is that as long as it is not meant in an inappropriate way, I don't mind it. I keep in mind that there are so many people in the world that deal so badly with the public, I am appreciative of anyone who speaks nicely to me.

The eye roll when she said "sweetie". I think it's overpriced. The hotdog shouldn't be over 1.50 (compared to costco hotdog AND drink for 1.50 / dodger dog at AMPM is 2 for 3 bucks) tater tots should be around a buck, drink around a buck --- so 3.50 rather than 5.71, not worth when there are better deals. The hotdog was like 4 bites?

The Sonics I went to when I lived in Georgia were consistently good. The one we had where I live now in WV was good sometimes, sometimes really bad. It’s closed now. I love Sonic when they are good. Still the best onion rings I’ve ever had.

I haven’t been to sonic in so long I use to get a popcorn chicken all time also the onion rings another thing is their sonic blast with m&ms it’s so good.

I decided to drive an hour from San Jose to Gilroy just to buy a bottle of pomegranate wine at Casa de Fruta when I remembered I never been to Sonic. I did some research to figure out what I'd get...having been told that the food sucks. I got a Supersonic Double Cheeseburger and an Ocean Water. Well, at least they skate to your car. It turns out they don't at the only one nearest me. I didn't grow up eating their food, so for me, it sucked.

I know its a Southern thing and such but its super uncomfortable when its someone I don't know lol! Same in England. Every damn time in Heathrow - "What can I get ya love ?" or "Hello Love" omg... Its weird how these managers can't train their employees proper customer relations, I dont like that sweety stuff either unless she's talking to a child. Now I am 63 and I go to a Jimmy Johns where a 19 year old cashier consistently calls me " Bud". Whats wrong with sir and mam ?

I love your channel and reviews but I think it’s rude and off putting the way you reacted. She was definitely being southern nice. I don’t understand how you fail to realize that. It may be awkward but it’s a regional thing. She wasn’t coming on to you or anything.

Tami....I recently watched an old press conference with Elvis and he called a woman "dear". In the comments I wrote I wouldn' t mind at all being called that by him. Those terms of endearment don't bother me one bit, but that's me. In fact, I think they're rather sweet. 😊😊

Yeah, I agree. What's the big deal anyway? Would they rather have someone be rude?? I work in customer service and while I don't use these terms, I have a co worker that calls everyone 'hun.' No one has ever been upset about it. Ever!

Fast food workers can’t win. Try and be nice and you run into that occasional person who is always annoyed. Be straight forward and professional and people complain you have no personality. It wasn’t an insult. It was not impolite. So everyone proceed to complain that a minimum wage worker actually cared to do a decent job.

We see your point, and there is no right or wrong here. ..sometimes in health care nurses will say sweetie or sweetheart to soothe someone in trauma or painful situations. It is a term of endearment and should be used as such. Some people are so endearing to others, they don’t realize they may be overstepping a bit? Is Sir or Madam more appropriate in a drive thru?

Yeah, I don’t like that honey and sweetie stuff either, it’s super awkward. Especially when a much younger person is calling you that. Sonic’s hot dogs are usually pretty good though. Other than that one time that I got an underdone corndog. 😱
