It's so clever to have the chao in the prologue be interested in the Koko mask, it was a really neat way for them to foreshadow the connection between the Chao/Chaos and the Ancients/Koko. Also the Evangelion references are literally all over this game, it's crazy. Even the Wyvern Titan's death looks so similar to how Gaghiel dies in NGE. Makes me wonder if there's more depth to the connection or just a fun reference.

I mean the game was made by the generation who watched Eva on TV when they were teens. Not all that surprising that they would crop up again and again, even subconsciously.

Fun fact about Amy: in Sonic CD, she was originally pitched as a fortune teller, and a main part of her character was the cards. They weren't new to Frontiers, they were just brought back, which I think makes them a welcome addition IMO.

Personally i think they are tied, undefeatable will always hold that speical place of being that shock of "oh danm they cooked" but break through it all is also really good! i do think the weakest is im here normal version though.

Sonic wasn't dense and just trusted the End, he was just lost and the voice was the only source of information plus the end put sonic in a position where he had no choice but to follow the voice for direction. In this game Sonic is isolated on an island he's never been to

Yeah there are still some bugs on the final horizon but I have to give a lot of credit for patching on their first go

@@best_mate456 Is it just me or is Tails heavily bugged? Because at lvl 70 attack, his wrench throw was doing over 1k dmg per hit, which are numbers not even a max attack, phantom rush, grand slam can reach.

My god you say update 3 best as possible. People who are not happy with the difficulty can lower it down and there’s no shame. But just because you can’t does not mean others are can’t do it. Never blame on the difficulty on your personal skill when you can just lower it down. 🎉🎉🎉 If I hope people watch this video because this is a very valid reason

I'm a platformer fan in general so seeing to franchise going into the Mario Odyssey route was amazing I hope they get rid of the Botw art style for the next game.

cool vid, but GODDAMN couldn't disagree more about update 3. The new characters were cool to control and was nice to platform with amy, but like... there were already well designed challenges in the base game, both in combat with guardians like tower and master ninja and in platforming with the entirety of Rhea. Don't get me wrong, there is a lot of fun to be had with new ouranos, but you can't fight anything with the new characters because (before the patch) they did nothing to their health bars (neither did sonic, tbh) and there are no standart soldier enemies in the island, only guardians so on my first go around I finished the dlc without even touching cyberspace. Btw, the perfect parry would be quite nice yeah, too bad it sucks cuz the bosses don't clearly telegraph their attack timings making so you have to memorize them instead of reacting to them. The towers... while I admit I had a lot more fun my second time playing, still could use checkpoints like the ones in Rhea, changing the difficulty does nothing but add automation everywhere. Btw, original Ouranos' story was better, FIGHT ME!

You gotta be shitting me on the difficulty of the master koco, man. As someone who beat metal gear rising on the hardest difficulty and is a massive Platinum Games and Devil May cry fan, even I knew how borked the hit boxes were when fighting wyvern. I should get hit when I get hit, not an entire second before the slash touches me. no amounts of "get gud" is gonna change that these bosses weren't built around he pre-patched parry, unlike other action games built around the mechanic. And telling someone to change the difficulty when the game locks a true end behind the hardest difficulty isn't good advice. I'm here to play the game, not beat it ASAP.

There isn’t anything locked behind a difficulty in the dlc btw. And I agree somewhat that the hit boxes were stupid, but again if you are struggling there is a way around it. You can get good at these, pre patch I tried these and got better at them to the point where it’s fun. It’s hard and rewarding when you beat it even if it is bs. I like that. Everyone might mot agree with that but that’s why it’s my video lol

I am so freaking happy that this game was a success and that they ACTUALLY made a fourth flipping update! I couldn't freaking do it before the fourth update because the bosses were SO HARD, but, then the fourth update happened and let me tell you, the ending, the boss fights, the fight against the end, and that we actually get to play with Amy, Tails, and Knuckles, WAS EPIC! Good job Sonic Team, good job!! I really do hope that the next Sonic game will be good as well. 😀😃😄😁😆💙❤🧡💛💗💞💕💓💖👍👏

@@ItsSkullyy no really, it got shadow updated like a month ago. The DLC is TOTALLY different now. Difficulty has been reduced. And perfect parry was also given more time in the boss rush. Edit: unsure if difficulty was reduced or characters buffed. But either way the gameplay is not as difficult. All modes got a scaled update (easy, hard, and extreme)

I feel like most of your positives for this game are only good once they get refined in some theoretical game down the road. Sega has shown through the history of the boost formula that these gameplay formulas can get worse with each entry.

about the difficulty of the final horizon,it was a unfair difficulty,I understand that it was what people asked,but it was not that kind of hard that people wanted,the perfect parry is the best exemple for this,less than a second to do it in the same game that teached the parry could be done way before the atk,it's was not good,even in the easy mode it was way harder than the entire game in hard mode

You do realise that you are talking about the hardest difficulty the game has to offer right? Normal mode and easy mode are much more forgiving and you can change the difficulty at anytime. It was frustrating the parry on hard but it felt even better when I beat it personally and I enjoyed it

@@ItsSkullyy not only the parry,but the master king koko trial too, this wasn't a good hard challenge,it was an unfair and artificial difficult, the 400 rings to beat the 3 boss were more frustrating than fun,it would be better if there were more rings but with the bosses attacking faster than before

@@AkaneKitsune47 400 rings is plenty especially considering this is after 20-40 hours of playtime for most people, and again it all stems from the Parry window which can be changed via the difficulty. If you think it’s too hard change the difficulty

there is major panning on your voice over that is hella distracting in this video. I love sonic frontiers but holy shit i couldnt help but be distracted the whole time by this weird oscillating dialogue. Maybe only apparent in headphones but its very obvious in mine. Literally sounds like you are swaying back and forth in front of a stereo microphone.
