I love how the fandom like collectively agrees that’s some of sonics, more aggressive attitudes tend to fit perfectly if if dark sonic was ever made canon, because who the hell wouldn’t want to see Dark sonic beat up somebody

I really hope that Surge stays with the good guys, but with this sort of dynamic where she only does what benefits her and does her best to mess with Sonic without "rocking the boat" too much. Small stuff like hiding his chilli dogs at lunch, and and then saying, "It's pretty arrogant to hust waste food like that, you know?" Or being all buddies with Tails for the sake of "getting an upgrade" to deal with a "pest problem" (everyone knows she means Sonic)

Shadow, Espio and even Eggman and Surge got on ass about those tendencies of his but he does stick to his words even though the metal virus arc was the closest he got to getting a taste of karmic retribution for his choices

I mean, who’d try and test the judgement of the guy who saved the world back to back, and is pretty much the only reason their planet isn’t in tatters? If Sonic wasn’t there, making decisions would probably be the least of their problems since the planet would either be taken over or destroyed

I feel like, since "Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric" that's been kind of the default angle they've taken with Sonic. Pretty much the entirety of "Sonic Prime" was about Sonic having to pay for his hasty actions.
