Playthrough of the "Sonic World" mode. Sonic Jam features the main Mega Drive Sonic games (Sonic the Hedgehog 1, 2 and 3, along with Sonic & Knuckles and the lock-on options the latter game featured) and then also has a new 3D Sonic World mode.
Sonic World lets you play as Sonic, and explore a small area which features various buildings you can enter. Character bios, game music, commercials and Sonic's history (up until 1997) can be viewed.
There are also several challenges you can do, I'd already beaten them all beforehand. Beating the challenges will make a giant ring appear near one of the waterfalls, if you enter this ring, the credits will play.

Contains a sound test for all of the games, and includes the new music composed specifically for use in Sonic Jam. I don't spend long in here, if you want to listen to Sonic music, just search KZfaq for it as I imagine just about every track you could ever want has been uploaded somewhere by now.
7:40 Movie Theater
I play everything available in the theater, which is mostly commercial for Sonic games, along with trailers for the Sonic OVA series (which sadly lasted for only 2 episodes, and was combined into one and released as "Sonic The Movie" outside of Japan):

The Sonic CD ending seems to run much faster than it should. The ending included is the bad ending, which would be shown if you beat the game without obtaining all of the time stones or destroying the time machines in the past of each level.

A history of everything Sonic that had been released up to 1997. I check out some of the games in more detail (you can view a couple of images from a game, along with box art).
The giant Sonic balloon featured at 30:41 was famous for being the first video game character to appear at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, but possibly even more famous for when it collided with a lamp post and burst, resulting in it injuring two people. Another video game character balloon wouldn't appear at the parade again until 2001, when a Pikachu balloon could be seen.
The part at 31:13 is referring to an event SEGA hosted at Alcatraz, that was broadcast of MTV. The full event can be seen here:

The "Rock the Rock" feature shows how the game was made in addition to showing a tournament. The challenge was for two players to compete against each other, to see who could collect the most amount of rings in a certain amount of time, Whoever had the most moved on to the next round. The tournament was won by Chris Tang.
At 36:57, Sonic 3D isn't listed as being available for the SEGA Saturn in Japan. The reason for this is because it hadn't been released in Japan at the time Sonic Jam was released. The Japanese version of the game would be released for the Saturn in October 1998, after Sonic Adventure had been released for the Dreamcast. I'm not sure why there was such a delay.
