Someone did a video showing that a new model that is more traditional can actually be re fit into the film and he went into detail of how CGI and live action mix and actually really explains the process. It pretty much shows that it can be more than tweaks.

You know considering the fact that Sonic is motion-captured, importing the redesign with those same motion captured movements is a possibility. It may not be as difficult as you think actually.

The shoes are something that I have gotten used to and I believe is the least of the problems presented but what they could do to at least improve on it is to make the size of his feet/shoes bigger if only slightly so it is more or less in line with his feet size in the games.

It's so weard to see how accurite those pick you choose are in the end.

This is how I think they will tweak his design. 1.) Fix eyes. 2.) make adjustments to body so it is not as stretched out. 3.) give him gloves and socks. 4.) Make adjustments to legs so they are a little bit thicker. This is just what I think. Great video Sam. :)

Picking up from your little discussion about after the sonic movie here's how I probably would envision it: IF possibly the box office rates are high and critics have positive feedback of the movie (4 out of 5 or 5 out of 5 stars) they may make a sequel to the movie or a prequel. IF more sucess they may make a spinoff movie (chaotix movie or shadow for example). Going further, I would like to see them make a whole series based off of two things. The new design of sonic(if good) or the modern sonic. And Revamping and reviving the archie sonic universe (freedom fighters) probably keeping the designs from the comic series.

Even if Sonic looked amazing and 100% like a live action version of the game character... the rest of the movie is still the same. People are so caught up on the smoke they’re ignoring the fire

Well they were testing out the model last summer. They showed us what it looked like about 7 or 8 months later. They started redesigning about a 2 months ago? They have until December to get to where they were again. WHILE everything else that hasn't been done yet is now being done still the whole time. I THINK that they have enough time to make drastic changes actually. NOT super drastic, but more drastic than we think. But I do doubt we'll see drastic changes.

You'd think, with such a backlash of the original design, they'd let us see the redesign before to much implementation in the movie, since it's done.

I'm hoping that the redesign is close to his gaming counterpart. What I read on an article it said that it's *HIGHLY LIKELY* the team took of the many suggestions from fans to make him more like his SEGA GENESIS counterpart on the board. But for me I want to see his more modern like for the redesign. So even though we have to wait a little while longer to see the redesign I do think this could be the one if it is I'm going to cry happy tears if not then I'm going to scream my head off. But after this movie I really want SEGA to do an animated STH movie ether with Sony, Disney, WB, or Universal animations. Just like how WB and Disney got Sonic's look just right that's what I want to see next is a STH animated movie by any of those companies.

I actually never get triggered from designs, but im not saying it was pleasant to look at. It wasn't the classic fast antro hedgehog thing we all remember, but it went through as a Sonic. In my opinion, the plot so far sounds very interesting and good and it really has captured my interest, and I'm going to watch it. I was going to before the announcement of redesign. The desing sure wasn't the classic Sonic, but It really wasn't horrible. They were clearly going for realistic look there. It's really great that they have made a residing, but I got a little triggered how big of a shit storm it caused.
