It seems to me that the writers had to find a way for shadow to escape the shattering of the paradox prism, but then didn’t want the chaos emeralds to overshadow the power of the shards, so they got rid of the chaos emerald

I have this weird feeling the cast will add a season 4 because I don't think they will add Sonic restoring Green Hill and at the same time trying to get the Chaos Emerald in 8 episodes, I mean it took 16 episodes to show absolutely NO progress of restoring Green Hill ,well, it's either that or Sonic completely gives up and just kinda like, dies..

@@Elliebellaxxx What a cop out ending means is that everything goes back to normal and Sonic and Shadow just forget everything that happened and it's like the Shatterverse never existed. The experience should change the two of them, instead of being written off as nothing more than a 'fun ride'.

I actually have a theory on what it could be used for, so during one of the last two episodes, thanks to Sonic using too much prism energy and starts to fade away (like in the trailer) the Chaos Council take advantage of this and start taking over the Shatterverse, Nine realizes the errors of his ways and teams up with Shadow to save Sonic. Nine would analyze Sonic and sees that the only way to bring back Sonic is to collect the shards from each of the Shatterspaces as after Sonic used them they went back to their world, Shadow goes to each of the worlds and gathers all five shards and tried to use them to save Sonic, however it doesn’t work and it seems like all hope is lost, that is until he gets an idea, he heads to the void to get the Chaos Emerald, Shadow starts to fade away but he keeps on pushing, he eventually gets the emerald and combining the emerald and the Shards leads to Sonic coming back for the finale.

Or maybe after season 3, Netflix will make a final Sonic Prime movie to end the series for good where the paradox prism merges with a chaos emerald and the chaos emeralds are in different worlds or something. The Void where Shadow dropped it in is some kind of ancient Chaos creature (like Chaos) that can absorb the chaos emeralds. Then all the universes have to team up in the end to stop it . 🤷🏽‍♂️

In the Season 3 trailer, we did see that when Sonic and all the other shatterverse characters face off to Nine and his army, Shadow isn't there, maybe he's trying to collect the emeralds? Maybe they'll show some old zones. But to be fair, all the emeralds can't be in Green hill zone, so they might reference other zones, and in the subtitles, "Rouge" was talking, well Rouge does have an obsession with jewels so what if Rouge has the other chaos emeralds? And in season 1, the Master Emerald was unguarded, so what if the Master emerald was to have a part in season 3?

Omg Yes! I was curious about what happened to the emerald as well! Wait, just hear me out. What if this ties into Sonic Frontiers? Frontiers opened up with the fact that Sonic and his friends are tracking the emeralds to the Starfall islands. What if since Shadow lost one, the others are also lost or will become lost because of season 3 being about the Shatterverse becoming unstable? Maybe the Void dropped it on the Starfall islands.

I really think it’s weird how they show one of the Chaos Emeralds in the second Episode of Season 1. I honestly kinda wanted to know what happened to the Chaos Emerald in Season 2 and I hope we get some info about what happened to the Chaos Emerald that drop in the void and I hope we get some news about it in Season 3.

That is false. If you look back at season 2 episode 1, when they had a recap of season 1 and when shadow first entered the void, while he was chasing sonic to the new yoke gateway, he still couldn't enter, even tho he was holding the chaos emerald. Doesn't matter what he does, he still can't enter into the shatterspaces, except for the grim and ghost Hill.

At the end of season 3 episode 7 the battle got reset to season 1 episode 1 but he disappears himself, the paradox prism by using the chaos emerald.

I’ve been theorizing the shards each represent a different emerald in a way, like, they can help pinpoint where each emerald is or they’re made of the same stone as the emeralds? They did give sonic power-ups like the emeralds do when Sonic uses them, but eh, thats just my theory, and Sonic has gotten power-ups from things other than the emeralds, so I have a pretty good feeling I’m wrong lmao

Even if Sonic or Shadow got the Green One Back from the Void , what about the others , they were in Green Hills before the Sonic Break the Paradox and Now with Ghost Hills literally Exploded I don't think we have access to the Other Emeralds so what's the Point Super Sonic was always an Important part in any Sonic Project but i don't think this is the Case with Prime , but i hope they will make it work somehow Because Super Sonic will look so cool with Prime's Animation Style

The chaos Emeralds are coming, I just know it. Sonic prime is apparently Canon, so, since the chaos Emeralds appear in later media, after sonic prime, this means they get the chaos Emerald out of the void. Maybe they could use them to stop Nine or something else that they haven't shown yet.

I feel like the chaos emerald has to return in someway. It’s basic checkoff’s gun: For those who don’t know what that is, checkoff’s gun Is a rule of writing in which if you bring something up a better add something to the plot. For example if they’re going to take the time to animate a scene of the emerald falling into the abyss, it’s better tie back into the main plot in someway. Otherwise why bother including it? It would just be a waste of time. So I’m hoping the chaos emerald, or potentially all seven, coming to play in someway. Even if it’s just for a basic “get out of a tough situation by using chaos control” plot point, at least it would be some level of pay off for it.

The narrative point of the Chaos Emerald was to give Shadow a way to get trapped in the Void. Shadow needs a Chaos Emerald to use his Chaos Control technique - and it was Chaos Control that momentarily removed Shadow from the effects of the Prism shattering. This way only Sonic’s friends experienced the full effects and had duplicates made of them while Shadow was instead trapped in the Void. Once Shadow was trapped in the Void as the writers wanted, the writers also clearly did not want him to continue using Chaos Control - so they had Shadow lose his Emerald. I’m sure before the end of the series Shadow will get that Emerald back and restore the Sonic Canon to its status quo.

What I thought about chaos emeralds at first is that the main Sonic's form is/will be Prism Sonic still, and if they get the last shard he will become even more powerful. And since Shadow accidentally dropped the green chaos emerald there can be an excuse why Sonic or Shadow won't be able to turn super and the show will be focused on Prism Sonic.

The chaos emerald controls time and space, along with the paradox prism too. I have a feeling the chaos emerald has something got to do with the prism shatter. Since the prism contains of altering reality, and the chaos emerald manage to control time and space, my guess is that nine will either bring the chaos emeralds back to the grim, since the grim shard can make anything become a reality. Nine can easily use the prisms energy once it's formed to gain back the chaos emeralds, and can rip time and space apart even more.

They will probably get the green emerald back eventually, but now, in order to restore the original timeline, Sonic and the variants must get the Paradox Prism back from Nine before the whole Shatterverse destabilizes.

Frontiers showed us Super Sonic with Cyber energy. I wonder if Prime Sonic will unlock a similar form with Prismatic energy. We've seen Prism Sonic st the end of S2, but how powerful would he become if he mixed that with Chaos energy?

Since it was SHADOW who found the first (and so far 'only') Chaos Emerald, I want this show to be the first time in the longest time we're gonna see SUPER SHADOW (Because obviously Sonic would be going into his Super Form, too.). That is, if Sonic Prime is gonna show the rest of the Chaos Emeralds. It's literally been OVER A DECADE! I'll be so disappointed in this show if it just comes up with an excuse for 'only' Sonic going super, considering how HIGH the stakes are. Seriously, we've never seen Shadow go into his Super Form to help save the world/universe since SONIC '06! It's gotten to the point that even 'fans' pretty much have forgotten Shadow can go into a Super Form, too.😩 Even if Super Forms aren't going to happen in this show. There's been so many excuses by so many stories in the games that've excluded Shadow & excluded him from "fighting the final boss" essentially. But, I think it's a 50/50 Chance we'll ever see that Green Chaos Emerald again (Not counting the end of the show when everything's fixed.). Let alone the rest of them. Remember in the first episodes that had Sonic separate from his friends to go collect 'Rings'? What was the point of that (Besides getting into a fight with Shadow?)? What are the point of Rings in this show to even highlight their existence like that & never again? Sadly, this show does a bad job explaining the existence & importance of certain things like Chaos Emeralds & Rings. This show doesn't even have 'any' of the characters realize, especially Shadow & Sonic, that through Sonic's mistake, PEOPLE LITERALLY CEASED TO EXIST when the Paradox Prism broke (Remember Orbot & Cubot in the first episode?). If the Green Chaos Emerald does come into play, unless miraculously, 'all' the Chaos Emeralds are in that "Black Hole", too, I think we're 'only' going to see 'that' one. And with that Green Chaos Emerald, it is somehow going to be used to restore Ghost Hill into Green Hill (Because if you've looked at the Yellow Ghost Hill portal & the portal Shadow's racing a dying Sonic in his arms to get into, the portal looks EXACTLY like the Yellow Ghost Hill portal, but GREEN.). I'm still not even sure if we're gonna see 'any' kind of "Super Forms" by the end of this show, though, that's certainly still up in the air.

I have a theory that where the emeralds was made at same place a more powerful version was created and it’s the paradox prisme like see in sonic movie 2 we see that the master emerald power is to make all what u can imagined so did Eegman make his robot and sonic a golden chilli dog so that mean that the paradox prisme has a bit the same power as the master emerald from sonic 2 but more powerful at a stage that not make just one thing but a whole reallity

I had a solution to the Chaos Emerald Dilemma in my Sonic/MLP crossover. They got too close to the Tree of Harmony and Discord had to seal their powers in a Chest, similar to the Rainbow Powers being sealed in a chest in season 4 of FiM. This meant the Emeralds were gone forever, but it also meant that upon unlocking the chest, Sonic and his friends would have access to even greater powers that literally combined Harmony and Chaos, something that was otherwise thought to be impossible. It also eventually enabled them to transform almost at will (there was still a cooldown, but they didn't need to go on a fetch quest anymore every time they wanted to use it). The reason I brought this up is because it's possible that the intent was for the show to do something similar, just using a different means. But it would still take the Emeralds out of the equation.
