Gosh, hecking, dang. As someone who's recently invested in most everything needed to start the homebrew pinball life from other channels, I was inspired to see what I could do. As someone who watched this, I'm as intimidated as I am flabbergasted at what could be done at the homebrew level. Which yeah, obviously this video is as much, and very much more an inspiration for my own ambitions. This machine you've made is an amazing adaptation of the rules and gameplay of the source material translated to a pin. The rings, the botnick fight(s), the shields, the loop, the emeralds... it's all freaking great. Throw in an understanding of modern machines in the form the play field LCD as well as the cross-screen sonic run on the backglass screen. It shows a greater understanding of what can be done with modern technology while still being a pinball-first playing machine. (Looking at you Avengers with your freaking 8x8 matrix of game objectives, or Mandalorian that has an in-game store). The balance between modern interaction, and pure pinball play here strikes me as an amazing balance. I really do hope you put this much effort and love into something more original. You absolutely deserve a shot with one of the modern publishers with what you've demonstrated here. It's a shame that this theme is dependent on Sega willing to license out their golden goose to you as the designer as well as the maker/publisher of the machine if it ever made it that far. But heck, they allowed Sonic Mania to happen and it's been the best thing they've done since... really.. awhile. Never say never, but please, PLEASE take this obvious love and knowledge of pinball design and focus on something that we may all be able to throw money at one day. Cause no matter the theme, this is a hell of a rule set that I would love to play. Though yeah, the theme would absolute make it a day one household buy. (Sega exec who will never actually read this anyways!)

Dude, this is NEXT LEVEL! Amazing! I can't believe you can play all the Sega games with each level! Wow! What a huge project! My only feed back is maybe adding some background parallax motion while Sonic is moving. I'm assuming Sonic is just a gif on a slider that moves from left to right as you progress, but maybe you could sync the 2 speed animations to a background that repeats, to give Sonic that speed look on the screen. If you need help, I will gladly throw together some Sonic backgrounds and animate them to whatever resolution you need. This pinball machine blows my mind, can't wait to see the finished product!

I think from a design stand point you may be missing the mark with the theme. A dual looping ramp shot ala taxi would be great with sonic but i see you can still do alternatiting ramp shots so idk. This table is so well thought out.

Dude, I know Sonic fans have a bad habit of saying this, but this feels right when I say that SEGA should patent this table. This is incredibly official looking and I'm sure they'd love to produce this table with your help

I recently felt inspired to create my own 3/4 scale super mario brothers pinball machine with custom art and game mechanics that will hopefully make it feel unique and replayable. If you could share the CAD files for your entry ramps, it would really help me out with my prototyping! This pinball machine is insane by the way. So well thought out and and captures the spirit of the franchise perfectly!
