🌟 DESCRIPTION🌟
Sonic the Hedgehog is a 3D platformer with action-adventure and role-playing elements. Like Sonic Adventure, the single player navigates through open-ended hub worlds where they can converse with townspeople and perform missions to advance the story. The main gameplay takes place in linear levels that become accessible as the game progresses. The main playable characters are three hedgehogs: Sonic, Shadow, and Silver, who feature in separate campaigns titled "episodes". A bonus "Last Episode", which involves all three hedgehogs and concludes the storyline, is unlocked upon completing the first three.

For once I agree, they still haven’t done any media TV series about them yet because it’s hard to make the people to understand how to pull their limits. because they’re still more fan favored characters we didn’t get what they deserve for full screen times either and I’m not gonna sit there and watch them feel depressed into death.

Man, I see what Sonic Team was trying to do with this game. The ambition they had for this project is amazing. It just needed better writing (in terms of story). I wonder if future Sonic stories will try mimicking this level of ambition. Hopefully they do, with better results.

Personally I always loved the story of that game. It is the gameplay that made the game bad. The story was amazing, maybe lacking in some points but especially as a child on first playthrough you dont notice that. I would love a remake of 2006

Nah, its the gameplay itself. The game is jank af. Like, when I tried it, I thought it couldn't be that bad. Boy, it was BAAAAAD. I gave up at the first level. I just... couldn't do it. I want to try again one day but I don't know if I can bring myself to deal with the worst controls ever put in any Sonic game. I feel the story can be forgivable if the game was actually not extremely frustratingly awful to play.

sonic 06 had so much potential. It was the last true 3D platformer Sonic game. The game bombing is probably why we only got solo games only starring sonic himself and sega stepped away from the serious tone of the early 2000's and late 90s sonic games which in my opinion, is the definitive version of Sonic. All the games after sonic unleashed just didnt feel like the Sonic that I came to be fan of, It seems that SEGA is just now dipping their feet back into it with the Final Horizon update for Sonic Frontiers.

Yeah seeing some of these cutscenes really makes it seem like Sonic's reputation in the gaming world would be completely different if they got this right. They probably still would've been bound to screw up some other game down the line, but it's interesting to think about what a world with a full potential Sonic 06 looks like.

If you ask me, Sonic's story would have been better if they had made Elise a princess who has never had any friends because of Iblis, and the fear that he will be released if she cries. And how do you stop a girl from crying? Easy, don't give them ties that can be cut. Sonic could become the first friend she had in her life, and he who would encourage Elise to befriend of his friends and that would give more weight to Sonic's death, since Elise would lose her first friend in her entire life and I think we would have connected better with the princess if that had been the case. It would also have given weight to Elise putting out Solaris' flame, because if she does she loses her first friend in her entire life anyway, but Sonic encourages her to smile and move on without looking back.

i went ahead and made my own Sonic 06 movie once, (and it turned out to be four hours.) AND i managed to try and make the part about Silver seeing Sonic's image on a fiery background as a mystery until we circled around to that in the middle.

i wholeheartedly love this game's story. it's a campy, sincere epic that reads like the people behind it were genuinely excited about making it and it really bums me out that the game never gave people any reason to suspend their disbelief and get invested. I even have a soft spot for Elise.

The intro wasn’t so bad if it didn’t have that Useless princess, it could’ve got even more cooler like Unleashed, but they just HAD to ruin Everything, also 5:33 tails’s walk was soo cute, even tho its unrealistically not accurate, also the eggman render Looks cursed, i think that Render should work in the Sonic movies.

Underrated game but these cutscenes are goofy asl. All the anthro characters are huge and expressionless, and a lot of the cutscenes have no music so it’s awkward to just watch these Gmod models jankily walk around like humans.
