In 1994, Phillips was contracted to make a Sonic the Hedgehog game for the CD-i, however, Phillips cancelled the project, because “Sonic’s arms were blue in the gameplay. This was a fatal flaw that we cannot put past us, as we at Phillips do not believe in making imperfections.”

This perfectly parodies CD-I. The not quite fitting music , gameplay extremely different from originals , kinda offputting character designs , the quebecgamers logo , the cutscene animation, and tails' shifted voice actor with his weird line delivery compared to regular sonic.

Sonic Fungal Frenzy was my favorite game on the CD-i. It's a pretty underrated title in the Sonic franchise. I loved the part where Knuckles said "I don't chuckle unlike you" and proceeded to destroy the whole zone. It took me a few days to collect all the Chaos Cereals when I first played the game.

Hello, user who played Forces with eyes duct taped open Some audio from the cutscenes were reused (Intro and Infinite's second fight), but none of the footage, though they are left in the files although the quality has worsen than the footage shown here, with many graphical errors

I had this game as a kid! I used to love playing these games, the only thing that bugged me was on stage 4 were in the intro movie tails would look straight into the camera and breathe really loadly for 45 minutes straight, it also wouldn't let you turn the game console off so most of the time I would have to unplug it manually, other than that, very fun game!😃

Love how accurate the animation style of the cutscenes is, it feels just like an actual CD-i game. Also, the gameplay featuring Sonic walking around with a gun and shooting mushrooms also feels like something out of an actual CD-i game, since the developers of the Mario and Zelda games didn't really respect the source material, and if a Sonic game were to be made for the system, this is likely what would happen.

Imagine Landstalker CD-i besides Sonic CD-i or perhaps it should be called Hotel Sonic. Speaking of what if Sega never partnershipped with Sony. I love this trend of CD-i games being incredibly inaccurate to their source material's gameplay. Like it was a universal rule that the gameplay had to change if a game was put on the CD-i.
