only change i heard from studio is only small changes like fur length and body weight by tad to match to 2nd poster running on side of building you already seen so far...but for face its gonna be difficult to make changes when already looking fine for them

that tweet went out an hour after i shared something saying I'm sure fans wouldn't mind waiting another year if we needed to to see Sonic done right and match the awesome look they gave Jim Carrey.. it made my day! In a way i do think it opens studios to fans trying to get more and more, but one thing i love the internet for is getting things the fans want like Deadpool (done right). If they listened on movies like suicide squad, they wouldn't already be looking to replace Jared Leto. They told us his look was going to change because the negative reactions then they kept it all anyway and changed nothing about the film fans were worried about in the first place. It means they're listening though, and it means when it comes to more movies based on games, comics, or otherwise, we can say hey no you aren't doing justice to this character we all already love and hopefully they'll do something like they are at Paramount for Sonic

Still wish it was just an animated movie. This could've been an animated version of Shazam! Even having Tails, Amy, Knuckles, Shadow, Stix, and metal sonic. So many possibilities, but they went with this........ (Can't wait for the child's play 3 and child's play 2019 review)

I think the new Sonic look will most likely make the movie better in a weird way. I mean I was already kind of ok with the design like it was *WEIRD* but I already got used to it. I really hope they make him more "cortoony" I guess that's the word I'm looking for but I hope he's not too cartoony.

A childhood game for me ! I was 9 years old when I played this game, went to my brothers mates house and we all gathered around the Sega and played it. That was in 1991 ( feel quiet old saying that haha) My mum couldn’t afford the console and game at that time. Seriously, sonic deserves so much better just as much as the fans do!

I think actually them listening is a pretty cool thing. It shows that this director is actually listening to people now, I hope people don’t abuse this opportunity

I think the design change makes a big difference personally. I mean, Ben Schwartz is a great comedic actor, and paired with a good design I could see us getting something similar to Transformers 07 - obnoxious humor, but a likable protagonist (sonic, not the human, hopefully) and competent action. I really hope it isn’t changed too much because I really like the new design. But they should definitely make a few small edits and changes mostly on his mouth and legs. I mean the new posters look awesome so they should definitely take note on those. I have a feeling this is going to be an exciting movie. For me anyway.

This is fantastic news. But I like the basic form of sonic right now. I think what they're mainly going to focus on is probably fixing the scary ass teeth and the poor CG in some of the scenes.

Honestly, I didn’t mind everything else the movie trailer showed. Dr. Robotnick was amazing, his machines were cool looking, the cop guy’s not too bad (although Chris Pratt would’ve been AMAZING not gonna lie ❤️) it’s just... THAT SONIC DESIGN WILL FOREVER HAUNT MY NIGHTMARES. I’m happy Hollywood’s FINALLY showing video game movies the respect they, and by extension the fans, DESERVE. I mean... you remember The Super Mario Bros movie, right? Oof.

Well if the directors listening and telling us hes fixing his design (and to be honest I really dont care what he looks like) than damn paramounts dedicated to get the blue blur right huh?! Also I think the trailer was a test to see if we like his design and clearly alot of fans didnt like it but as for me I kind sorta did though.

Regardless of whoevers redesign that was at the end of this video, Sega would win if they sued because of any copyright or trademark infringements by the person who made the redesign. Sonic belongs to Sega not the other way around.

This movie is inevitably going to be compared to Detective Pikachu since both are based off of video game properties and with the former being touted as the best video game-adapted movie ever, Sonic is going to have a lot to live up to. Them changing Sonic's design to a more faithful incarnation (hopefully) is a welcome change. The Sega Genesis was the very first game console I ever owned as a kid and Sonic is my OG game character, even before Mario. Sonic holds a special place in my heart and I really do want this movie to be good. Thank you, Paramount, for going through with the change.
