Now Sonic Colors HD but next...this masterpiece needs a remaster

I’m just casually scrolling through the comments. It’s weird to think how hated this game was. There’s SO MANY arguments in the comments. A lot of people were hating on this game mainly because of the inclusion of the werehog. Some people said Sonic should be a 2D series only. Wow, opinions have REALLY changed...

Almost eight years since this game came out and it's still my favorite Sonic game of all time.. and my third favorite game of all time.

I watched this trailer literally every day for 2 straight months after it came out in '08. Hands down best Sonic trailer.

In my opinion this is the best Sonic game Sega ever produced. This game has a unique feeling no other Sonic game has. It brings back good memories. I still remember when I first saw this trailer 5 years ago when I was 11 and started spazzing out cause I thought Endless Possibilities was the best song of all time X)

Best Sonic Game EVER

THIS SONG BRINGS BACK SOME MEMORIES. I would just watch this as a kid and I remember my mind being FUCKING BLOWN. I thought that there was nothing cooler than this game. I remember being a little iffy on seeing the werehog (with good reason) but man I've watched this trailer over and over again.

Its been 15 years, we need a port on the ps5. This game was truly what made the franchise a one of a kind.

The demo for this felt so fun to play. Fast paced, gorgeous backgrounds, nice looking blur, and some classic sidescrolling in addition to very free-feeling speed sections of the course. I haven't play as a werewolf yet, but it looks like the game has tons of variety in gameplay and nice looking cutscenes. Can't wait to get this.

Still one of the most underrated Sonic games. Just wish it was Backwards Compatible on the Xbox One...please Sega bring it on the One.

Great spped, great music, great graphics(including Wii too), good-not great- nighttime levels, great replay value, and great memories. I love this game. :D

I Remember Back In 2008 I Was So Excited For This Game And I Wanted Cry Tears Of Joy Because Of This Trailer.

I saw this trailer back in 2008, and God damn the wait was agonizing! Sega knew exactly the right things to show off to make this game look incredible. (And I still stand by that it is an awesome game.)

Glad this game is finally getting the love it deserves. I adore everything from the story, to the stages, to the visuals, to the werehog, to the music and of course, all the lovable characters this game introduced. The last truly amazing Sonic game imo. As great as Generations was, it just didn't have the same sense of scope and adventure that Unleashed had.

I remember when I first heard of this game. I was searching around the web one day and I came across the Mazuri trailer. I was amazed by the game and how amazing the graphics were. But then when I saw this E3 trailer, and I saw the werehog, I said these exact words, "ZOMFG SONIC'S A WEREWOLF WTF." I then spent the next 3 months of my life waiting for my pre-ordered copy of sonic unleashed to arrive in my mailbox, and I will never regret doing that. Second best sonic game I ever played. :D

I have the version for the wii. I also played the 360 version and both are magnificent. I too love the werehog idea, especially his ability to make his arms stretch. best Sonic game in years. Sega has outdone themselves with sonic unleashed.

I can't stress how much I love the Werehog! Who wouldn't like smashing and bashing enemies to bits with badass combos?! I love the speed ones just as much, but I love the diversity and depth of this games story! On a scale of 1-10 on Awesomeness, to me, it's a 69(lol)! Werehog should return! Oh yeah! That's right, baby!

This, this simple little video that plays before the game starts is what turned me into a sonic fan for life I've played and enjoyed sonic in the past but I wouldn't consider myself a fan until I saw this It showed me that video game music with endless possibilities still bein one of my fav songs period The graphics looking absolutely stunning(even today it's imo one of the best looking sonic games) The montage of sonic and werehog gameplay showing sonic going at blistering speeds, it put me 14 year old mind in extreme dopamine mode Love sonic unleashed so much, and I'm just so happy to see this game finally get the love it deserves

In the older comments some people where talking trash about this game saying it was bad bc of the werehog I know sonic unleashed got a lot of hate back then but some people now a days still hate the werehog when I don’t understand why people hate it so much I mean it gives u a challenge it would just be boring if the game was too easy the werehog gives u a bit of a challenge They probably just hate it bc it’s too difficult for them i like it when games give me a challenge it would be no fun if it was too easy or maybe they just don’t like the way the werehog controls well if that’s the case I don’t see anything wrong with the controls I think it’s perfect probably the reason why this game got a lot of hate back then but know people say it’s the best sonic game even I do myself

Still my favorite Sonic game EVER. Werehog and all. The one flaw I have is the battle theme, but otherwise this is Sonic at his best.

ten years , is there one from 2018?

As someone who grew up with Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 and played them religiously, Unleashed for years has taken the spot for my all time favorite 3D Sonic game.

I don't know why, but this video trailer just brings me so much good memories i had playing this game and makes me realize how time passes so quick... Sometimes i feel like crying of how happy those memories were ;')

I know its not that deep - but seeing this Unleashed trailer drop back in the day must have been such a strange feeling. I was a little kid so I wasnt really part of the fandom back then - but from what I know there was so much going against the franchise at the time. Naka left, Sonic Team USA was breaking up, the fanbase was more divided than ever and there were already multiple disasterous games that sold decently but for the general public had ruined the reputation of the series like shadow, secret rings, chronicles. And then there was 06 which was in a whole ball park of its own, which no matter how you feel about it now, it was a disaster. Most franchises would die out from a situation like that. Despite that, here was Unleashed, still trying to be the best game it could. They could have given up, but they went with the "when you hit rock bottom - you have no where to go but up" mindset. They took their failures in stride and instead decided to try something new - and it paid off because we got colours and generations out of that. Instead of seeing failure as the end, they took the opportunity to try something new, to explore their endless possibilities. (lmao i had to)

Unleashed is my favorite Sonic game so far. Best levels, best gameplay, best story, best soundtrack.. It does everything right. Too bad Colours and Generations were not that great..

Got the game for Wii. It's so awesome! It's pretty much the fastest Sonic game I have played since Sonic and the Secret Rings! I'll be getting a PS3 this christmas along with Sonic Unleashed!

I did enjoy the day time stages a ton and even the werehog levels weren’t that bad… My rating > those negative reviews from 2008 💯

15 years ago and almost 16 I wasn't even born but I had the opportunity to play it and I liked my favorite Sonic game.

The thing is, the game somehow ended up being even better than the trailers.

1:25 Man. My mind was blown when I saw this for the first time. I thought that story-wise, Sonic was gonna be this uncontrollable beast who just destroyed everything without remorse, like an actual werewolf. Like there was gonna be this conflict where he would become a werehog but he tried to fight it, because he was hurting innocent people and such. I was so excited. But then the game came out and he was just Sonic with a gravelier voice and stretchy arms. I was disappoint.

This game and Sonic & The Black Knight were the pinnicle of Sonic. Now all we have is retro games where you run mindlessly with very little to break the monotony. Sonic will be missed.

I don't care if Unleashed had the Werehog or not, it's still and always will be a kickass game. Sonic Unleashed=100/10

The first time I saw this game in he game stop I thought it was so cool. I wanted it. But Ended up getting a sonic racing game because that’s what I was familiar with at the time. Then years later got the game and played it. It was still so cool to me as it was when I first saw it In the game stop. It’s one of my favorite games. One of my most favorite games.
