The Donkey Kong 2 cameo was probably my favourite. It just shows how Nintendo and Sega were trying everything they could to make the other company look bad.

@@archithrough less damage control, more the fact that their consoles weren’t selling well and the closest audience that’s similar to Sega’s would be Nintendo’s fanbase So they went to the GameCube to hopefully sell more, and they did

*FUN FACT* There is another game that was for the SNES, but with a twist. It’s Sonic 4, but it’s in the SNES. And sometimes, Mario would appear in cages, you just gotta get them out. And if you did, they will say “Mario!”

These Sonic Cameos are good ones and some of these Cameos I didn’t know. The first Cameo I knew was Sonic cameo in Rad Mobile and it is a pretty cool one. It’s crazy how we don’t really see this stuff anymore and 90s for sure made Sonic make a lot of cameos in other games In the 90s. While always Great video Chris)

Great video, Chris! I remember Sonic first appeared in that racing game as a little key chain, but I didn't know about the rest of these mentioned in this video. I guess you could say that this proves that Sonic is a popular and famous character and is loved by ither game creators. It's actually really cool that the devs of these different games hid these cool Sonic themed Easter Eggs in them. That was the ability to blow a lot of Sonic fans minds.

In the Yakuza games also made by Sega. There are Sega arcades you can visit that feature various posters, ads and safety instruction sheets which include artwork of characters like Sonic, Tails and Cream in their design.

I know it’s not all of the cameos but there is 1 that I know of that you missed but mentioned the game in the video. Daytona USA (not the new one, the old one) if you choose what I think is the default map, you will see a mountain with sonic carved into it!

Loved it! Only thing you got wrong is when you said 'spikeout' was only released in japan arcades. That's not true i used to play that game every weekend in my K-mart arcade while my mom got her nails done lol idk if they illegally had it or something but i also came across it in other arcades as well. I live in Michigan btw

You missed several cameos like Sega-Gaga, Phantasy Star Universe, Crusader of Centy, Virtua Cop 3, Fighters MegaMix, Fighting Vipers, Tom & Jerry for the Master System, Feel the Magic (Project Rub), Taiko no Tatsujin, Toy Fighter, and A Hard Day’s Night to name a few.

I remember playing a fan made game where it had sonic and night characters in it. I can’t for the life of me remember what it was called but it could never beat it because I throws you into a fight instantly. Where you fight someone from the night universe and the person you fight against is very strong so I never beat him.

As a brit the "rad mobile" pronunciation had me scratching my head and the " mega turrican" (turricon) confused me a bit. Can't imagine calling a mobile (as in phone) like that. Weird how we hear a word and it sounds soooo different. I noticed the lay man part also 🤔🫣

The Sega Saturn was actually as competent for 3D graphics as the PS1, and was fully capable of doing so, it's the difficulty developers had in developing for it that limited it making most developers resort to 2d, but it's in no way a "quasi 3D, 2D console"
