it was refreshing to see how she moved the vocals higher in the frequency spectrum and kept most of the songs impact within the mid, a really nice technique!

this is one of the best mixing masterclasses ever. Rather than a masterclass, it's more like a "walkthrough", which to me is more helpful, because I find that a lot of the masterclass content I've seen before is more about the person's "mixing philosophy", and although that is helpful, after you've watched a few of those, it sort of stops being new info. It's like "ok cool, you like to start with drums like 9/10 of the other engineers, but can we see how you actually mix them?" Anyway, I liked this a lot!

My main focus is mixing metal, but I stumbled upon this and thought "why not?". Really cool class. I love the approach she has to mixing and specially how she treats the vocals which are the most important part in this genres. Muchas gracias Maria Elisa! Saludos y éxitos!

Maria‘s view on using templates is worth mentioning here. It seems to follow her overall mindset as she‘s very modest and humble, always serving the song and the artist‘s vision and NOT trying to make the song sound in here style like so many others do. I really like the way you approach mixing Practical, intentional, and clean

One of the few traditional mixing engineers that actually knows the concept of reggaeton. For the longest time engineers would just do the worst mixing reggaeton music. This is why the producers usually keep everything in house and mix it themselves. I make reggaeton music and not everyone knows what parts need to stand out. This woman knows her stuff.

Just goes to show. Get it right at the source. When you get great recorded tracks it doesn't take much to take it to the next level. That's why there's low level plugin counts. Just the right moves in the right places and thats all you need. Great job Maria!

Omg this is so amazing that I am Fl studio user but able to understand everything, Love that how you removed the rumble from voice with that 300-350 hz cutting little bit with neutron That delay trick is old but it is gold, Actually you can not expect anything to be more better than such a great mix, it's ear candy percussion and guitar and those pluck. ShadowHills, Oeksound Soothe and Gulfoss on the Masterbus. 😍😍. I think that last part is just the PAY OFF of her entire mixing strategy. Really really informative videos and honestly, she is doing this whole mix in a similar condition to most of us and yet making good mixes. This is kind of a Confidence boost for all the people who don't own a Multi Million Dollar or Multi Grand Music studio and are working from Home Studio. Her mixing techniques are on par with modern technologies and that shows us the adaptive mentality which we all should have to survive in the industry. What I loved the most is, she is taking informative and conscious decisions which immediately tells us, a) She is not just goofing around and she knows stuff, b) it is important to gain knowledge through experience. Very very creative and more maximal approach. Usually I just try to just replace the bad frequencies with the good ones and throw some reverb on it. Never thought just running the sounds through so many other busses to develop new sonic possibilities. Might give it a try.

One of the best Mix Tutorials i ´ve seen yet! And not because she´s been grammy nominated (hope she wins one) and is an attractive Woman. Look very carefully where she works and hows he works. What she uses, Nothing special! But she very thouroughly explains what she "hears" in a musical sense and context , and how that influneces what she actually does. Perfect! No fucking around here..
